They call 6 times today .the last thime they did it I say,,police departament how can I help you...well I hope this work and they stop calling me .....#8436477169.

Best way to deal with that: answer the phone and threaten to report them (let them know that you know the law and that it will cost them a $5000 fine).  If it's a non-profit organization the National Do Not Call List does not apply the best way to deal with a non profit organization is to stay calm and let them know you want added to their Do Not Call List they are required to do that immediately all they will do is verify the number they called and add you to their list then their Do Not Call Lists only last for like 5 years but it will give you a break for at least 5 years. Hope that's helpful :).

If you do this and report them they get a $5000 fine, the only exception to the National Do Not List is Non-profit organizations and all you have to do for them is specifically state that you want to be put on their company's Do Not Call List they will then verify your phone number and remove you from their list.  Hope that's helpful. I'm getting calls from this number also and you can bet I'll put a stop to it, I just stopped some people from a weight loss place from calling it's always helpful to know your rights and the laws and to threaten them with it when needed.

All telemarketing are subject to the Do Not Call List the exception is if they're calling for a Non Profit Organization if people from those call you and you do not wish them to call anymore you have to say specifically: "Take my number off your list" or "Place me on your do not call list"  and trust me they'll be very nice about it the only thing they need to do is confirm your phone number if they call you after that then they are breaking the law and you can report them.  Hope that's helpful.  I know how it works as I work in a call center that makes only calls for non-profit organizations myself and I get this response a lot.  This number though is not from a non-profit organization I answered the phone for the number: 843-647-7169 and they said it was a discount coupon company, therefore if you're on the do not call list simply threaten to report them (if you do it earns their company a $5000 fine) and they will leave you alone.

Calls from this number no one answers, I call back they pick up but never answers until they hang up..

this is a telemarketing company who is trying to sell you something, or try to get you to believe he has thousands of dollars in coupons for you... a lot of scammers today are spoofing, (using a fake number when calling people).  I called the telephone company and they said it is because congress passed Truth in Caller ID Act in 2010 or 2011, which allows telemarketers to hide their number and use whatever number they want on their caller id...Complain to the Government.. It probably won't do any good, but if enough people jump on the band wagon, maybe us tax paying citizens will start getting more rights than the freaking criminal scammers, hackers, cyber criminals and identity thieves...

I got this annoying call and it is very irritating 5 times. Get a life MAN!!!

Second time in one month I have been bothered by this number.  I used *69 to track it.  I've also reported it but it doesn't do any good.  The Do Not Call registry LOST my number and I had to start over.

I feel bad for the Terre's. I called the number back and some indian guy came on saying he is giving $1,000 of grocery coupons. I asked if he was Milton Terre, he said no and repeated his speech again then stated he is part of a company in Fl. I said no, your number is coming up as a person and you are in Charleston SC, not Fl so take my number off your list. He said "ummm, okay maam" then hung up.

If anyone ever somehow hacked my phone number calling random people I would head over there and beat the s*** outta every one of the employees. I'd rather be a stripper than a telemarketer.

he called wanting $2.95 for shipping of $1000.00 worth of coupons.  I told him I was not going to pay over the phone and he hung up on me...  Red flag right!  I smell a scam artist.

I have rec'd 3 calls from this number starting 8/30/12.  They don't say anything until I have said hello 3 times, then they say "goodbye" and hang up.

This person has called my grandmother twice a day for two days now, and when she answers, all they say is "you are going to die." then they hang up. It's sick and I wish I knew how to get my hands on them!!

I have 17 calls from this company on my missed call list all on the same date and it was only 11:00 a.m.

Keeps constantly calling my number, I amdisabled and when I get it either nothing at all or get a robotic voice that says goodbye and that is all. I do not have good balance due to brain stem stroke

This caller calls several times a day.  After you had said hello 3 times, he says goodbye.  AIs this guy a weirdo or what.  Please STOP callig.

Received call at my place of business from the number above.  Telling me I won $1,000 grocery voucher - just wanted to ask a few questions on how much I spend for groceries weekly, etc.  After her talk-off conversation, said I only had to pay $2.95 for postage and handling to receive the voucher.  After I told her she must be crazy if she thought I would fall for that, that I wasn't going to pay anything - she then hung-up the phone.

No one said anything and after 10 seconds of me saying hello they said "good bye".  Sounded like a recorded voice.

Same as all the above comments. I get 2 to 3 calls every single day, including weekends. I have been registered on the Do No Call list - both for my phone/land line as well as my cell. Doesn't stop the calls. Yes you can complain but I've yet to see any results.

Called by this number today on one of our lines. I answered though did not recognize the number. No one at the other end responded after several "hellos" from my side trying to solicit a response from the dead air on the other side of the line.

Does this kind of marketing technique do anything at all to drive business? What kind of damage to your brand might this kind of illegal conduct inflict?I can't imagine the kind of customers a business or individual can acquire/scam with this kind of intrusive outbound marketing approach assuming there is even an ounce (gram) of legitimacy here.
