May I say I received a call from this number stating the call was from Merchant Services and I told her we were not interested and she thanked me for taking her call. She was VERY polite and not pushy at all. This is the way any business calling should act and respond. I give you guys a thumbs up.

Several calls per day. All of them are hangups. In frustration, I called the number back. A voicemail system answered and gave the company name as www.gomcyes.com. Then I was placed into a voicemail for a woman named Loreal Drayton.
Based on numerous other complaints, I am forwarding this info to the FCC and the South Carolina Business Admin office.

I received a call from this number. They asked for a specific person. I had a hard time hearing on the call because of the large amount of noise in the background. They asked if I accepted credit calls. They did acknowledge they are in the Charleston, South Carolina. She identified herself as Amanda. She did hang up when I asked why she was asking me about accepting credit cards.

Received a call at 5:10PM on 11/8/2011. Answered phone but no one spoke. All I heard was static. Hung up and checked *69. Interesting. Checked the internet and found this information. Just shows you can never be too careful.

"Rachelle" called stating that I needed to contact her at the above number, ext.331 in reference to credit card transactions that, according to the IRS, needed to be reported. I went to Bing and discovered the correspondence recorded there. Thank you for providing this information.

Regardless of the Firm's response above, they are a Telemarketing Company in Mount Pleasant S.C. and are violating the FCC's D.N.C. Law. They repeatedly call business phones to sell a credit card processing service. A live person attempts to schedule an appointment with your business, has poor telephone etiquette and is very pushy. To date this Company has called once a week on every business line. Recommend to call their Supv. in Charleston, SC at 843-270-7923 to have your number removed. ~ Like that's going to help ~

Dear Sir:
The incident referred to in this complaint did not involve Merchant Cooperative in any way. Rather, an unidentified automated voice message system was programmed to continuously call random telephone numbers and refer to a problem involving credit card numbers. The Quincy Federal Credit Union as well Merchant Cooperative and many other financial institutions have been victims of this.
These calls have been under investigation by local and federal law enforcement authorities. Most importantly, Merchant Cooperative has absolutely nothing to do with the problem, and has no information about the message, its contents, or who sent it. Again, I cannot overemphasize that the name “Merchant Cooperative” and our local phone number were used without authorization in a pre-recorded message by an unknown person concerning a problem that may or may not exist, and that does not in any way involve Merchant Cooperative. We apologize to anyone who may have received this fictitious message, and Merchant Cooperative assures its customers that it remains ready, willing, and able to continue to provide the superior level of credit card processing services that it has always provided to its merchants.
We have placed a warning of potential scams and the importance of safeguarding one’s personal information on our website as well as our incoming voice queue message at our location. I would like to ask your assistance in this matter also. Is there some way you could post a public warning in regards to this scam? Merchant Cooperative is as much a victim of this scam as any individual that may have been contacted.

Well, I don't get a recorded message at all. I KEEP telling these people that the 'business owner' does NOT come into this office until late at night and they STILL keep calling over and over asking for him. We are not interested in your credit card processing services! STOP CALLING HERE!

If you are even THINKING of doing business with this company then please read this entire post!!!
I work for this company and I am just posting this to state that our company has been under a slander attack for years and as the company has grown and hired more people that were tech savvy we started to uncover this and are now fighting back. If you have never experienced this in your life or business I pray you never do, it?s a nightmare and very hard to undo. This attack has been done by one of our local competitors who we are now suing in a slander lawsuit. As for legitimate complaints about our company you can contact us during normal business hours at 843-884-6884 and we will solve any legitimate problem. We maintain an A+ rating at BBB online and only do that because we solve all legitimate complaints. As with any company (or person for that matter) we are not a perfect company and we work inside of an industry (credit card processing) that is plagued with problems and lack of structure. That being said we work hard every day to try and provide a higher level of service then the industry standard. In fact a lot of the attacks we have suffered come from a company that we routinely take customers from in our local market after we expose their mis-leading pricing policies to the customer. Another fact is that we only do that one-on-one with the customer and only on a factual, provable basis... not a slanderous one. We don?t need to slander to gain customers. The fact that we reply often to these complaint posts and offer an open invitation to discuss any real issues should show that.
If you have taken the time to read this we thank you and remind you to call us during normal hours if you have any real complaint, we will fix it.

Received a weird noise "blast" from the call and then a gruff woman asked me if I accepted credit card transactions. When I responded to her, she hung up.

Got a call on my retail business line asking if I accepted debit & credit cards. Looked like a local number so I responded with a "yes". Female caller said, "thanks, honey" and hung up as I was asking why they wanted to know this info. These calls are really annoying, as I know they are not a customer. Why do they want to know this info????
