Debt Collector
I have received numerous calls from this number on my unlisted cell and landlines pertaining to some debt/court case which has nothing to do with me. I have been ignoring these calls until today when they threatened to summon me to court. When I called today, I spoke to man who claimed I called legal offices, was evasive about giving me their address, and stated everything they were doing was "within their legal rights." When I informed him that I had already called the Attorney General and was advised to cal them and formally request they stop calling me, he made the statement "I'm not going to listen to your threats" and hung up. He never did give me their address. My next calls will be to the Federal Trade Commission and the Bar Association. Has anyone else filed formal complaints against this supposed company and/or contacted the media about the same?

Took out a loan? Remember taking out the loan? Didn't pay it back? So then you come on this site and BLAME everyone else? Now THAT'S comedy! I DO hope you asked for proof of debt in writing, as required by law. Or is that point not important? Well it is to the rest of us. I wouldn't pay a wooden nickle to a foreign 3rd world criminal who called me trying to extort money on a fake debt. Removed from your credit report? Liar. If you're still paying - it's still there - for 7 years. Is there no cricket game on TV in India today? It's 1:30 in the morning over there. Get lost & go to bed.

Not a word of the above post is true. NO ONE, that's-  NO ONE can clear your credit report. Not a chance, no way, not true. Any debt gone to collection is on your credit report for seven years. The only way it can be removed is if it is there in error. That you can fix yourself, for free. Forms are on the websites of the major credit companies (Trans Union, Equifax, etc.) Any one who says they can fix your credit score, for a fee, plans to make themselves richer - and you poorer. A credit report is a true reflection of your ability to get, and manage debt. If paying someone to remove things from that report worked, than what is the use of a credit report? Tell them to stuff it back in the carpetbag folks.

So I called this number back yesterday because a woman named Draya said she will be stopping by today and they asked me to put in my social or case number. Number 1 I do not have a case because I have not done anything. Number why should I give them my social.  I have been receiving these calls for weeks. I have not received a summons and I feel harassed. I do not know how they got my number because I do not give my home number out to anyone. Its irritating me because I have no clue of why they are calling. Draya talked to my baby sister when she called and I felt that was out of line to give a 7 year old child that type of information so I am angry about that. I also googled the name of the company and nothing came up. No extensions numbers were left. What state is this company in because im from Kansas.

yeah, pretty sure someone calling from the prosecutors office doesn't give you a heads up, i have gotten calls like this before where they say i am being served the next day.  this is not how it works in ohio or probably any state.  and the information they don't have is probably from old debts that you have already paid, they are old accounts.  i had this happen with a pay day loan.  caught the guy in the act.  nobody ever showed up with anything, my attorney said that same thing as the writer before me here that said to call the atty general.  these people need to get a real job, this is a major scam!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Got a call and voicemail from a Jason Sutton, under a blocked number. Stating he was a process server calling in regards to a court summons that a sheriff was going to be serving me today between the hours of 12pm-3pm. He also stated that I'd be charged every time they come out and also that I was officially notified, after telling me that I needed to call them back, in case there were anything else like penalties or bench warrants???????Umm yeah ok right. This is regarding to what? Seriously.  And he said on my voicemail...the last four of my SSN!!!  Gave me this number. It's private. Why have a private number???? Doesn't sound legit. I'm calling my lawyer...I sense a scam.
