I got a call from this company and I'm pretty sure it's a scam I owe no one any $ and they are threatening to file something against me....be smart people. Don't call back and don't give them anything to validate it is or isn't you. It's tax season and that means scam time for these crooks!

guy left a message on my phone saying they would do a cease and desist on my address...
knew my name and current address...left a file number and also said to contact the firm for
more info...creepy!

Number has contacted several times, but I didn't answer at first since I had seen these reports. VM left last week was pure harassment. Then they contacted my parents, claiming to need to deliver documents to me. Today, was contacted by an anonymous service delivery company saying there were scheduled to deliver documents to an address I no longer live at. They would not give further information, so I contacted the phone number. Answering service with no company name. Connected me to another person who would not give their name or company. They demanded my SS# (which I would not give) and a birthdate (which i would not provide) and then when I informed them of the details listed on this and other websites, the person put me on hold for a minute then came back and asked for the info again. I refused and they threatened jail time in the state of Florida where they say I live (not true.) I informed them that I had contacted my state's Attorney General and they hung up.

I wonder if this is tied to the widespread IRS scam that is being reported (those calls also report threats of deportation) so I have filed complaints with my state's Attorney General, the FTC, the IRS and the Do Not Call registry.

I had some guy call my exhusband's house telling me I have a lawsuit filed against me on a bill that was written off 10 years ago. I told them I am not paying it and they told me to dispute it in court...so I will if they ever send me something I guess.

I received a call from this number also today saying I have a law suit against me and to call the "firm" back. Knew my name, number and address and said to call back when I'm available tomorrow

caller said I had a court case pending were I owed $16,000 for a reposesed car from 2003.
They could not tell me make, model or year of car, But said they would settle for $1,700

Yes they left me a vm....Karen Wade asking to verify my address and saying they were going to make a decision without my consent and good luck...she referred to the company as "The Firm" sounds like the Tom Cruise movie. Why are these people calling playing games...called back got answering service says he answers for several bus's...couldn't tell me names but said mostly attorneys....so secretive...just a bill collector I presume.

Company calls trying to scare you into calling them back by making threats which in violation of
Fair Debt Collections Act. Turn them in to your attorney generals office. They do not say the name of their company clearly. In fact....seems to be blocked out on purpose.

I keep having this number call my family and friends looking for me saying I have theft charges pending on me and they are going to come get me and send me back to a county I have never lived in.
