rang back to unrecognised number.

I think these are people that ring your phone once or twice in the hope that you call back and they then get money... DON'T CALL BACK! I also think it's something to do with recruitment websites.

I've also been applying for jobs (but in more accounting/finance areas) which is the only place I have put down my mobile number in the last 6 months.
A lot of my jobs I got through targetjobs.co.uk but I did not give them my number directly.

I'm not applying for any jobs, but got a call from them at 8:31am.
My phone didn't even finish 1 ring before i had answered it, and the line was dead.
Rang back and said number unavailable.

Hello, over the last month I have had missed calls from 8445591977; 8445591966; 8445591877(twice)and 8445591066. All of which have rang for only one ring and have put the phone down.

After the first time, I rang the number back and got a long beeping sound (a little bit like when you ring a fax machine number). I am on pay as you go so I know it didn't charge me, but I'm sure it must be some kind of scam.

hi i keep getting missed calls from 8445591899 and 8445591977 and no answer, only one ring, i tried calling back and it says number not recognised, i am careful i dont register my number everywhere i have no idea what it is! so annoying!

I ve also been applying jobs in the IT market and i keep getting sodding calls from this 8445531899 number!!! its gotta be some agency thats takenmy number!!!!!

I'm from the uk too and havent been to the US ever and i just got a call from them! but it only rang for like 3 rings...

Just received a missed call from this number - I did ring it back and got a does not exist tone - call didn't cost anything from mobile - just hope it isn't one of tose numbers where they can tap into your phone......

I'm job searching too, and I got a missed call the same night I registered with a couple of websites for work (IT Based).  I wonder if there is an association!

I am from the UK but have been to Canada and the US lately.

I got a call from 844 559 1899 as well. They hung up as I answered. I didnt call back in case it was premium rate.
