Debt Collector
I received a voice mail from someone named (at least this is what it sounded like - Chloe Keller saying she would be serving me with papers filed in Dallas County within 3 business days. She left a phone number 844-626-5396 and a case #...also said she would be arriving with a uniformed officer for my and her protection. She would try at my home between 3-7 pm. If I didn't show, she would be charging me $75 every time I wasn't there.  They have also been contacting family members and leaving all this information on voice mail. I checked the courts website to see if anything has been filed with my name and nothing.  And I agree, if you're going to get served, you will never be told up front. I just wish these collectors would stop all the harassing calls.  Send me mail instead - of which I never receive.

Victoria, a real summons wouldn't be served either by a court official at your home or through the US Mail via certified mail. Don't worry, this is a scam. I've received several of these types of threats over the years and they never turn into anything.

Don't worry about it. I told them to bring it on 4 months ago and never heard from them again. It's a scam and they won't follow through with their threats. They're shady like that. Relax and get back to nursing my dear!

Getting the same messages. I have had phone number for many years  Periodically I shut off messages because some douche-bag  who has had creditors for years  tracking him down gave them my phone number. (Okay I feel better now). The latest clown to call and leave me that bogus number was I think Investigator Bozo Bronson from Tom Green County. When called, I get -  Ideal Direct Solutions  and I left a message. Since  they  operate on old and incorrect information I doubt they will stop.  Just some moronic group  lost cause collection agency knobs reading from a script.  Seriously get a job, and quit calling  wrong numbers.

That's the funny part, people that actually work for this subpar company that tries to scam people actually seek out these websites because they know people are on them. Anybody that says that it's a valid debt is a liar only because process servers do not call your home. They find you. These companies that try to scam people out of money know that these 1-800 scam websites are in existence. It's not that hard to create a fake profile, all I had to do was put in my name and put in what I wanted to say. There's no paper trail or e-trail to let you know who the person really is.  I am the other hand, and one person that got a real phone call from Anthony Gugino and I know personally it's a scam. I have the documents that prove that my payday loan was paid off.  Not to mention the fact that a lot of these companies that send out their paperwork to be shredded don't actually get it shredded. They actually sell it off to companies that hunt people down and try to scam them years down the road stating that there still an unpaid debt.

Mind telling us:

1.  Name of the document you got.  Was it a summons and complaint?
2.  Name and address of court.
3.  Name and address of Plaintiff's attorney
4.  Name of Plaintiff.
5.  Case file Number.

You can't object.   If a case has been filed; it is all public record anyway.

And this Harris county?  What state is it in?  Texas maybe?

Seems rather odd that anyone would file a lawsuit in court to get what amounts to a default judgment against someone who is basically judgment-proof. Why would a rational plaintiff do that?

Personally I think you're a shill.

You work for these guys and you're basically trying to scare people into thinking these guys are anything more than scammers.    That's what I think.   Oh, an I can't find any Ideal Direct Solutions anywhere.

But, you can prove me wrong.....

I received a phone call from a investigator Carol Carter and she provided me with this phone number to contact if I had any questions. I called and it was a company called Ideal Direct Solutions they told me of a case I had in which it involved a loan I took out a year ago that I could not pay back due to personal reasons. They were very polite and guided me in a way to handle this voluntarily but I just could not because of my current funds there's nothing I can do, currently raising two kids on my own and working part time. We'll yesterday the woman Carol served me this summons and now I have to appear in Harris county court..... I don't know what to do....

I just received this call today, but they left a voice mail. A Angela Green and it raised a red flag to me because the county was one I never heard of. Like serrant or cerent... Idk. But they said the same thing as well come to your work or home between the hours of 3-7 and if you don't call you will be charged $75. And also need to show two forms of Id. The next thing I did was look up the county and phone number and I came across this site

Remember also, process servers don't need any kind of form of identification of the person they're serving. They come up to you, ask your name, ask if the person lives here, and then hand them paperwork. They don't have to hand it directly to the person they're serving. Just someone that knows them and is very close to them and matches the address.

It's funny but yes. All of these situations seem very similar. Somebody calling up from an unknown phone number tells you or a family member that they have court documents they need to serve you within 24 to 48 hours but at the same time they give you the phone number of the agency that's trying to collect and they tell you to contact them to resolve it and what they'll do is send out a stop order to prevent the service. This is all fake. There is no stop order. And they will never ever give you any information about the company that's trying to collect. All a real process server will know is A name, address, and any relevant information about the person to serve them. They do not call you to give you a chance. This is how they get paid, by giving you the paperwork. Why bilk a process server out of money if they're just going to call and attempt to settle the debt?  Call their bluff. Tell them to serve you. And if you don't run into them, before they even get off the phone with you tell them to request an alternate form of service from the court and have them take the document to your door. This is a scam that's been going on for years and it just keeps getting more illegal and more illegal.

The gentleman that called me from the "detective service" was Anthony Gugino. The gentleman that wanted to speak with me at IDS was John Cohen. Funny how Ideal direct solutions has no record whatsoever nor do these two gentlemen.

No, but they didn't have what they called a "process server" call me from a number that was unavailable, and the gentleman's name was Anthony Gugino apparently with Genesee County. He's representing himself stating that he has a summons to serve me unless I get in contact with IDS in order to discuss this "debt". It's funny because I've searched through the online court records for my county and have found nothing filed against me in any court whatsoever. Not to mention the fact that this gentleman has no profile whatsoever on any website at all. They didn't even verify my identity or give the disclosure that this is a an attempt to collect a debt. Those right there are violations of the FDCPA. They have also been known to serve false court documents. Have them checked by the court or call and verify the case number. I have had this happen before in the past. It's funny because legally they're not even allowed to disclose any information to family members or anything. All they're supposed to do was just notified whatever they're calling that they have important information for this person and to have them call at this number. If you ever get a phone call from these people, think back to whether or not you put down any references on your applications you filed in the past. Payday advance loans, title loans, etc. since they really don't have much information, these references that you've listed will be the ones that they will be in contact with and harassing.

I received a phone call a few days ago from this phone number. Apparently somebody posing as a process server is trying to get a hold of me. The company is called ideal direct solutions, and they collect on old payday loans. Basically they put threats out there such as legal action, court papers, and they utilize scare tactics such as the "you have 48 hours to reply" window to scare you and paying. My attorney and I have dealt with companies like this before. Process servers will never call you, ever. Their job is to give papers to this person at this address. That's all. They don't give you a chance to call anybody else, because they don't have those phone numbers. Think of it this way, process servers are paid to serve papers. No service, no pay. Why would they call you and direct you to this company or any company to resolve a debt if it means they won't get paid for the service? This is a rather new company and they rather new phone number. 844 numbers were just released by the FCC back in December of last year, so watch out for a hike in collection office calls with numbers starting with an 844. We are currently in the process of recording this phone number to the FTC for improper business tactics and improper collection procedures. They wholeheartedly violate the FDCPA in its entirety. Do not believe them.
