I got a call on my cell asking for a Martin DeWood (not me). A voice message was recorded and this is the message " a failed banking terminal transaction tied to your name and social security number has been detected. Failure to respond immediately may result in a breech of banking protocol, which violates terms of use. Your reference number is 220578. The phone number for client services is 844 742 0023. Failure to recitify this matter may result in a freeze of open trade lines pending the investigation."  From another phone, I called the 844 number and and listened to their prerecorded screening message.  The company identified itself as ACG.  I remained connected through the wait time and spoke with a Lisa.  I told her that I had received a call for a Martin DeWood, she verified that my cell number was the number referenced to this account and she stated that it would be removed as being incorrect.

Same automated crap as above. Won't give company name if called back.

I own a collection company. They attempted to collect on me for something that was over 12 years old. They are not legit and are using deceptive and abusive collection practices. Contact the Federal Trade Commission.

Automated message about a "failed banking transaction" associated with my name and social and that not responding could result in "trade lines being frozen".  Ummmm. . .yeah OK.  What a joke.  People, don't call them back.  Don't answer the call.  They are trolling for dollars.

Got the same message as others have and I called it back and they said I owed a payday loan from 2008 and it was going to court for fraud! I told them I wanted copies of everything and the court where it was being heard but they said they would call me back!  Reporting these crooks to FTC and my field office for the FBI. More must be done.

I received a automated phone call for my son Ian Wikert. They said that he owed a debt. At the end of the call it said that he had been legally notified. How do these people get our phone numbers?

I just received that same phone call, this is the second time they have called the first was my sisters cell phone number, I honestly don't know how that got her number.. At the end of the call it said I had been legally notified.

I got automated calls saying my name and social have been linked to a lawsuit. That I needed to call and reference a case number. The number they left was 1-844-742-0021. How ever caller ID gave different numbers. When I called back and gave the case number ( I pretended not to be me), the lady was chomping gum in my ear and you can tell it was a call center. She took the case number and removed me from the list. Guess it wasnt a "real" law suit after all.

Automated message to my son about alleged claim and threatening that today is the last chance to resolve (every day for a couple of months now has been the last day!).  Message says to call back to the above # with two forms of ID ready or press 1 to connect.  Call comes up as "Name Not Found" on caller ID so I never answer but they always leave the garbled message.  Somehow they even got my son-in-law's cell work phone # and left the same message for my son on it.  Why can't something be done about these automated calls and all this scamming on the phones and internet????  Just CRAZY!!!!

This call was a aitomated message concerning an alleged claim or debt. Said to call this number, (844)742-0021, back with case number 225782 to settle. Tried tracing the number and it is untraceable, unknown. I have had scammers trying to collect on fake debts before and turned them over to the FTC.
