The rate of scamming for old debt is getting out of control. Consumer Affairs needs to DO SOMETHING!

Just got a call from a lady stating that she is a debt collector and that she is representing the "Cutter Group" on a payday loan and that she was going to send the law to my place of employment to serve me an affidavit  to collect a debt that was from 7/28/2011. Which I have never applied for a payday loan and they put it into my account. Never got it into my bank account. Now they are telling me that I need to pay $950 or I will be charged with theft by deception and I will have to go to court. What do I do about this matter????

They continuously call from a local number and then leave a message with the above number. I have reported them as well.

Just got a call from these scammers from a local number telling me to call them at the number listed above. When do they stop?

Wow i just got the same phone call from this number telling me to return the call with in 24 hours or they will come to my place of employment or home. Amazing what people would do

I've been getting these same calls. All connected to scam payday loans. Which I never took one out, never signed for one, or even said I wanted one. WTH!  Some Co {vanderlier and/or Hydra Loans} deposited money into my acct over 2 yrs ago. Caught it while balancing my ckbook, called and emailed my bank to report the fraud. The bank sent me a letter confirming, they'd sent the money right back where it came from, closed my acct and reported it as fraud, with the Bank, FCC and every organization that handles these things.
Started getting calls last year, from various SHARKS thinking they could steam roll me into giving them personal information, and banking info. I called my Atty and I told them PER LAW, IF They had to provide me with ORIGINAL documentation from whatever Co was saying I owed them anything, to provide me with a Business address to send them letter from my Bank, stating the fraud and return of money that was fraudently deposited} an address to send a letter to them from My Atty, and they cussed me, yelled and hung up.
They can shove it where the sun don't shine!

They called saying we took out a loan and never paid them back. After reaLiZing we'dbeen scammed we cancelled our card. They first tried serving me via phone. Then I get a message with the same message as the above guy.  Hi w I need to give my name and work place to be served. When i actually did talk with a perSon he got  screamed and hung up. They won't stop calling.

I'm getting them too just ignore they soon will quit calling.

I just received a call from a local unlisted number you research dying they need to serve me and verify my address. They say it is from 844 823 0319. I am so sick of these calls. I don't know how to stop them.

These unscrupulous scammers never give up.  Home and cell ringing at the same time from "Restricted" callers.  Leaving the same threatening message as follows.

"This is not a sales call.  A complaint has been filed and your statement is required prior to the filing date.  We ask that you verify name and location information to schedule service of process.  You may press any key on your phone now to speak with an agent or call the claimant office at 844-823-0319."  

An attorney has investigated this and confirmed it is a scam.  I have reported to IC3, FBI and local police.  I cant understand why they cant catch these disgusting individuals.

No one warns you of being served, I would think they already know my name and address as they have scowered the internet to find any family or friends of mine to harrass.  What a joke!
