Same message from a "Charles blahblahblah". Happy to hear I'm not the only one. What a moron! There are laws and procedures that collection agencies need to go through before you are served a summons. When your served, your served! No warning necessary. And the only way you get served is if you never reply to their calls and letters. I hope he does come serve me. If this company or whoever it is that is doing this sh*# has the gonads then bring it! I dare you to come to my house or my place of work. Bunch of low lives! Get a real f*#@in job losers!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second time I got a call from this number.  I am currently paying all my creditors and have checked with each one of them and none use this so called legal service.

I have recieved this type of scam phone call in January. I called them back and they were trying to collect on a debt that has already been paid/settled. I asked them to mail me a letter about the debt and I would talk to my. Lawyer. I never heard back from them, no one served me either.

Yes - however, if you're being called by scammers or scofflaw telemarketers, you will have to block the numbers.  If your phone doesn't have a call/number block feature, you can find good ones for $60 or less on Amazon .com.

Well...this guy Charles is busy again!  My husband panicked but I was able to assure him this is a scam and to forget the whole thing and to NOT REPLY!  Does it work putting cell numbers on a "do not call" list?

eive the Same message. They said i owe  1000 , it was a pay day loan from 2005. It sounds like  a  collection company trying to retrieve their money they said they  were going to put a judgement against my credit card and my car loan, I didnt give them no info and told them to go ahead.

Recieved a call stating that I needed to be home between the hours of 1 - 4 p.m. to sign for some important documents.  I have no idea what it is about.  They are now calling my parents about this issue.  Which is not an issue, but a lie.  The\y have pulled an old bill out of somewhere and think I am going to pay it.  Crazy people!

Voice message identified caller as Charles Quaid or Charles Clay. Did not say who they were looking for. Said a process server would be in front of the house and to be available with two forms of identification. And there was a large black car in front of the house. Threat of lawsuit. Left this number to call to speak to the person who has sued. I called, but just got a recording saying to record your message. Foolishly left my name and mobile number.

I too received a call from"Charles" today. What few outstanding bills I have go back over 17 years, so they are all beyond the statute of limitations. They left me the same message to call the number for further information. I tried calling the number back from the phone they left the message on ( a cell phone) not my land line and the line was always busy. I noticed that all of your responses are happening within days of each other so they must be on a master slaughter. I have heard of these scams but had never been a victim of one. My cell phone number is not listed on any public records that I know of so don't know how they obtained the number. The threat do deliver the summons is to happen within 24 hours of 3PM EST today.Your input has been very helpful

I received a recording today stating "This is Charles with Legal Carriers (?). You will be served a legal summons at your residence or place of business. Please make yourself available within the next 24 hours. If you are at your place of business you should have a manager or someone in security who can be a witness. If you do not accept the summons you will miss an important court date. Please call the person taking action against you at 844-828-7808."

I have no legal dealings.or collection actions.
I am sure this is a SCAM. Don't call the number back.

no, that isnt true. not every body that gets these calls has ever even had a loan or anything to do with the company theyre saying is owed. they never provide anything in writing they cant NOT send you proof of owing money, and they disclose information over the phone that is illegal to disclose.  it is most definitely a scam and i hope youre not dumb enough to believe what you just wrote...

this isnt a scam its just there way of getting you to pay a bill to get your attention its still a bill you owe.... in fact id rather all my debt go to companies like this because theyll take anything if you owe $1000.00 they will settle you out at like $300 its ridiculous how $ hungry they are but its not  a scam no they wont serve y ou but its still a bill you owe

receiving calls from this number stating that my house will be autioned off within 24 hours also received a call about a month ago that I would be served with  papers if I didn't return call. The guys name is Charles clay or Cleave, couldn't understand him.

This is a scam! If you call back to advise that they are calling a wrong number, they are rude and will hang up. This may be a valid debt collection agency, but they are not using any legal actions, they are trying to use scare tactics! There have been similar companies in the past that ended up with lawsuits against them in several states! They do not have the power or authority to serve anyone within 24 hours!

Same Mr Clay, jail, summons yadda yadda. I have one debt outside normal household bills and that is student loans which are auto debit. My car is paid off and I rent my home. My credit score is above average. I asked him repeatedly to explain who the debt was with and he became belligerent threatening that if I did not make a payment over the phone I would be arrested. I said I would be home all day, come & get me. He must have gotten tired because he hung up.

It's a scam    Process servers don't tell you when they are gong to show up.  You don't sign summons, they are simply put into your hands or left at your door.   Don't call these people, DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY THEM, they are scammers.  Do not send them any money and do not give them any information.    If they have a valid debt, then they must upon demand send you a written copy of the debt and send it by US mail.  Do not let them intimidate you by threats of being arrested.  You cannot be arrested for ordinary civil debt.   Report the scam to local police and state attorney general.

I got the same call from "Charles Clay".  Has  to be a scam to get a payment to  "avoid hassle".  It's been  many many years since I missed a payment.
My main concern was that  it  may encourage one to open the  door - and allow in a  home invader.
Make sure you have protection.

I received a call from 844-828-7808 - he said his name was Charles that he had a summons to serve and to please make myself available at my residence in the next 24 hours or I would miss a court date.  I have no legal proceedings or any involvements of that sort, so I think this is a scam.  

Our local police told people about this type of scam..He said just to ignore them and give them no information. .

I got the same message. ..It is a scam they are on a fishing expidition..They are just trying to get money, no one warns you before you get served.They surprise you..Do not take their spiel, ignore them.
