have blocked 25 area code and numbers,  Today 2 new area codes have called.  The BS is relentless.

Let answering machine get it, dead air.

Before the call disconnected, I pressed the BLOCK NOW button on my CPR Call Blocker, and I'll never get a call from them again (from that number). If I wanted, I could have blocked just the first 6 digits (area code and exchange), so no matter if they use a different number in their range, it still will be blocked. Search Amazon for the device. It works.

I find some of the remarks posted about these ?faux telemarketer calls? amusing.  I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these annoyance calls since 2012.  Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will get another of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they?ve just identified your number as valid and passed it on.  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ?robocalls?) ? once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls.  If you have the capability to ?block? the number that called ? that is the best action.  If you don?t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ?talk? and ?off? simultaneously.  If you really want to block them ? there is reasonably priced software that a layman can install.  Of the 380 calls I?ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months.  So the message is simple ? blocking works?.

This is from a credit card company trying to get me to move my balance from current provider to them.   They say they are "Card Member Services".   This guy said he was qualifying me and after I confirmed the last 4 digits of my social security number, he hung up on me.

I hadn't received one of these crap phone calls in five days. Wow. Then I got two today. This one came in at 6:44 p.m. Eastern Time. Triggered voice mail but no message. Instead of using a name, they put their phone number in instead.

They just called here as well. Every day we get crap calls.  Hardly anyone 'real' calls anymore!

Recd a call from this number today. Actually, they called and my NoMoRobo, hung-up on them after one ring. But then 15 seconds later, they immediately called again, and got passed NoMoRobo as my phone rang four times.
I did not answer and they left no message on my answering machine.
My caller ID shows this number as "Unknown Name."
I will report this number to NoMoRobo, and explain that somehow they got around their system. Not sure how they did this.

The prefix of 844 is a new toll-free number (like 800, 888, 877, 866 and 855).

Got a call from this # an its a credit card saying they wanted to lower my credit card payment told him no one here has a credit card he went on an said u sure it shows that someone in the household has one an if I could identify who he was speaking to an I told him no cause no one here has a credit card an hung up idiots I should no if I have one or not

Boy, I'm glad my Sentry Call Blocker holds 9999 numbers! I'm adding about 2 a day to the 14 I have blocked now. Too bad the pieces of crap don't have anything better to do than harass people!

Undoubtedly some kind of @#$%, but yes, that is indeed the number that shows up on the caller id.  I did answer, and the recorded message began, "This is a very important message" (and of course at that point I did hang up!)

1-844-837-9743 is not a valid number. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have 'spoofed' caller ID.  (copied and pasted from my google search......)
