I've noticed several debt scammers (I suppose located in Texas)  who, as part of their robo-spiel ,   often claim they work for Harris County.  They usually  claim to work for some warrants or bad check  division or section , so as to give the victim the idea that they are working in some  quasi-law enforcement capacity.

They're basically trying to scare poeople into paying them something by representing themselves as somehow being in the County government.

"I worked with this company to pay back an account that they represented, debt I owed, and received a VOD (Validation Of Debt) I got it within minutes to my email "

Debt validation by email is not valid ? only hard copy by postal mail is legal. You got scammed.

} yeah they might be going about it in a scary and illegal way

... but we should all pay what the "scary and illegal" thugs want anyway, is that it? Why do you lunkhead shills never see the inherent contradiction? For over three decades the FTC has been telling your kind that ends do not justify means, and no one should pay first as a condition of debt validation. Yet you refuse to listen. You think it's faster and cheaper to break the law and damn the truth.

If you thought you had a viable claim, you wouldn't be goofing around with email and mysterious phone numbers and unenforceable threats. You would send the required paper "G-letter" to an alleged debtor, politely validate on paper when asked, and operate more transparently.

>>>I worked with this company to pay back an account that they represented
Translation -- I work for them and I'm planting false testimonials to deceive consumers

>>Stop being PROFESSIONAL DEBTORS and pay back your debts!
Translation --- I am an illiterate who can't read but that won't stop me from calling consumers names.  Hell, I'm in debt to my eyeballs working in some boiler room so I assume everyone else is a cheat like me

>>Not everyone who calls you are a scam, yeah they might be going about it in a scary and illegal way
Translation -- I don't give a rat's tail about the law

If you received a letter from these jokers, you have their information. Post it! Give us their full name & valid return address. You say they "have licensing". Prove it! Give us their license numbers & tell us the state(s) they're licensed to do business in. For that matter, give us ANY verifiable information about this (Your) fraud-shop! You won't post a verifiable thing. We all know why! Go ahead, prove me wrong! But remember, if you try to blow smoke up our back-sides we WILL eat you alive. There's no use trying to post some "suite" number in a strip-mall mail drop. We'll expose that faster than you can get a new one. P.O. boxes won't work either. A debt collector is required by federal law to provide a valid physical address to a debtor on request. You must have that address....right? Let me guess. You DON"T! You "threw it away"...right? Or you "don't want to provide that information"....right? You're nothing but a bad JOKE!

I worked with this company to pay back an account that they represented, debt I owed, and received a VOD (Validation Of Debt) I got it within minutes to my email and got a physical copy to my residence.

This isn't a scam, they have documents and licensing.

Stop being PROFESSIONAL DEBTORS and pay back your debts!
Not everyone who calls you are a scam, yeah they might be going about it in a scary and illegal way, but if they called you with an unblocked number and told you you had a debt, you'd tell them to f*** off.

Got a call from a number said Caller ID unknown, so that threw up a red flag right there. This lady named Melanie said she was from the Harris County fileing and sevices div.and that i needed to be home or at work Monday between 2 and 6 to be served and sign papers for a court date. WTF!! are you kidding me! since when did you have to sign for your own court date?? and if they come to my job my supervisor had to be present. Good luck with that! lol anyway they called 2 or 3 times and vebatim said the same thing like she was reading a card. ill be waiting for these scammers.at first i was a little shaken so i did my research and all i can find are posts like this. These people need to be stopped! Now im trying to figure out how to block unknown numbers if anyone knows on an iphone please share, Thanks

Got a call from this number asking for my daughter-in-law.   Said this was second call.   Haven't had any other calls.  Also said she had twenty four hours to call them back or would go by her work.  Said her name was Chloe Kelly.
