Charles Clay recorded message saying someone would be at my home within 24 hours or at my place of employment with a summons to appear at court and that I would need to be available with two forms of ID and if it was at my place of employment I would need my supervisor available as a witness there is no company name and the phone number they tell you to call back in the same phone number that they call you on 1-844-952-7357 they claim to be calling from legal carrier services. But the original call came from 855-504-4763.
Very interesting and I am assuming that all of us who received this message do not live in the same state. Charles really must be super busy and have a nice company to pay for cross the state travel expenses.

3 days after the last call and Charles still hasn't come to visit! I'm beginning to think he doesn't like me. another phone call today. I wish I could answer it when they call, I would rip a new one into them.

If this was real, Charles sucks at his job. Another call/vm today with the same message as from May 7th. Geez, over two weeks ago he said he would be at my home or job within 24 hours, and still hasn't shown. Maybe this time he'll do his job! My security at work and home would be thrilled to talk with him, I'm sure.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:
?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you
.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

When they do call, ask them if you can use your badge as one of the forms of ID. Also tell them that if they do show up at your place of work one of your deputies will be happy to show them right in. And just in case that doesn't phase them, let them know you have retained the services of the law firm Smith, Wesson, Remington, and Mossberg and one of those gentlemen would be glad for them to show up at your residence.

844-952-7357 just called, if it is legit, they are at a minimum in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, since they have failed to both contact me by phone or mail, prior to filing a lawsuit. They have to be a scam. I did call back in hopes of getting a real person, however no one was available in Legal Services, and I was supposed to leave my name and number so they could call me back

Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process.
Several government agencies have been warning people about various "extortion scams" being worked by telescammers. Your call may be one of them. Read about some of those scams, report them, and learn how to protect yourself, here:

Same person, same # and same type of message. Wow! What a scammer.
| It's a scam! 2014-05-08 21:48:33 Unknown |
First, it is ILLEGAL to call and say that you have a summons. The summons has to be directed at someone and that information is private. So, it is obviously a scam to get people scared enough to provide personal information.
Also, they are in complete violation of FDCPA laws and FCC laws. The nature of the calls should be directed towards an individual and a proper company name and caller ID should be displayed.
Threatening with a summons is also illegal. Plus a summons doesn't require two forms of ID just a valid agreement that you are the person they are looking for (each state varies).
Either way, report these calls to the appropriate authorities and notify your phone company.

I got the same call, and voice message. Identified as "Legal Outsourcing" Is this guy for real?
| Becca 2014-05-07 15:52:52 Debt Collector |
Voicemail message left, seems to be partially cut off. Only part on message is:
"Failure to find for the summons may result in a missed court appearance.
If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact the party that is filing against you at
1 844 952 7357" - funny, that is the same number they called me from. I've received this message numerous times over the past year, and to date, nothing has been filed against me.
