Yet another call from the folks at Credit Card Services, hoping I'd fall for their scam to lower my interest rates.  In the past, the caller ID showed the call was from "Card Services" or simply "toll free number," and I've stopped answering the calls.  But the ID for this call was "Marketing Fraud."  When I picked up the phone -- it was the same old card services pitch.  I don't know whats behind the ID change, but I like it!  Now -- if they would just stop calling completely, I'd be really happy.

I have had it with these people that call representing card services. I get them at least once a day saying consider this your second and final call to lower your  credit card interest. It has been going on for months. It is often a great effort for me to get to the phone only to find out it is nothing important. Today I answered it again and started to tell them I was tired of the calls when they hung up on me. I am reporting them to the FCC. Hopefully if they have enough complaints something will happen.

Caller ID:  "Card Services" .  I've been reporting every call from every number that these thieves use.  Out of frustration,  we got an Ooma system 2 years ago which works well to block these and other unwanted calls.

Let's hope the feds bust another one of these crooks soon.

I am disabled and have to answer or listen to the ring from one of these credit card scammers at least once a day. I am so sick of it. They always say  "consider this your second and final call to lower your credit card interest". I wish they would mean what they say and STOP calling.

These people harass those who simply have to get up and answer the phone---suggest if everyone would hit "1" to talk to someone then simply lay the phone down, infront of the TV speaker if posssible, and walk away for a while.  They harass us, let's harass them.

Just got a call from this number and let my VM answer the call. The robo message was cut-off, except for the part saying "last notice to lower your credit card rates....push 1..." This was the 2nd call with the same recording in 1 hour; the first was from a California number. I am thinking about dumping my land line, as I get these types of calls---and calls from spoofed numbers with no message left---ON A DAILY BASIS.

This is getting ridiculous, I hate these phony phone calls.  I don't even have credit card debt.  I feel so helpless, maybe we should get the Legit CC companies involved as this apparently has to do with credit card fraud from what I am reading from other submitting complaints.  Now I am getting these phone calls on my cell phone, which I never give out.

Also, complaining about this number everywhere I can.  "Card Services"  calls anyone randomly, and no one can stop these nuisance calls.  There is no option on their recording to stop these harassing and unwanted phone calls.  When  I wait to speak to someone, and I do mention the "do not call " list.  I get the phone slammed in my face.   Disgusted by their practices. and hope our congressman can do something, but the way this government is working, don't think that will happen.  Maybe I should get a blow horn and blow their ear drums out.

Hi Karen, They don't care that you are on the DNC list. They are scammers. All they want to do is get cc numbers under false pretenses of offering you something they don't intend to honor, so that they can sell your card on the black market.

And if you press any number to be removed, you have just confirmed your number connects to a live person. Your number goes to the top of the call list.

All of the above is theft by deception.

Here are a few steps you can take if you already confirmed your number..

Google "fake credit card generator". You will find a few websites that make bogus card numbers.  You can obtain a list of 30 to 60 fake numbers each month. Then whenever these scammers call you, just give them your fake card number and exp date. If everyone on this site does this, they will be selling worthless cards on the black market.

If you do have a credit card, call them and tell them you want to cancel your card since you don't have time for fake offers to lower your interest rate.. When they say, those offers are not from us. Tell them you don't care, cancel my cards or pay me to answer scam calls all day....

If you put the cc companies out of business, the scammers will have nothing to lower..

Operations such as this one should be FINED and stopped by gov't agencies that govern such activity.  I also report to my Congressman, etc. FBI needs to track down such rogue outfits that are obviously NOT legitimate businesses. TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROVIDERS need to be required to pull the plug on their subscribers who abuse innocent citizens, or be held liable for allowing such activity to persist. CALL YOUR reps in Congress! U.S. lawmakers provided us with a national "Do Not Call registry" in 2002. NOW they just need to ENFORCE it, even if it means fining the telecommunications providers for aiding these fraudsters by allowing them to continue to harrass random phone subscribers!

Recorded message, offers to lower your interest rate. These calls are persistant and harrassing. I report EACH time to FTC's "Do Not Call" registry and recommend that EVERYONE who gets these calls report them! The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

Credit card scam.  They are crooks who are looking for credit card numbers and there must be enough gullible people who provide the information they are looking for to make the repeated calls worthwhile. There's not much you can do because they are crooks and could care less about the Do Not Call list.  They're probably not even located in this country.  I share everyone's frustration.

I'm in ENRAGED at this idiots who have been calling my house for months! I have reported them to the FTC and Better Business Bureau and NO help! They call from different numbers and when I press 1 to talk to them and go off, they hang up. I cannot call them back nor find out what to do about this harassing scammers. Even if you press the number to stop them from calling, that won't work either. I'm going to do more research regarding this and update you if I find out how to stop these idiotic scammers.

I have asked these people to remove me from the list, after pressing the number to no longer receive calls many times.  Tehy always hang up on me...
HOW DO I GET OFF THIS LIST? I"m on the do not call list, I've pressed the number to no longer receive their offer.  I've told them numerous times, I do not qualify, I've asked them nicely to remove my  name. I've asked them not so nicely to remove my name.  They call at least once a day sometimes more than once....
