Here is the email and phone number of local sheriff where number is located.  Please join me and call them. Let them know we are being bothered.   I don't think phone companies will do anything until they are pressured by law enforcement.

I have received numerous calls from this number and when I answer the call it is dead on the other end of the line.  Called the number back and finally a man with a middle eastern accent answered saying it was some pharmacy.  Told him to stop calling my number he was very short said ok and hung up on me.

This number called many times. Name on ID is Shawn Mitchelle.  Finally answered.  Man with foreign accent asked for my husband by name.  Said he needed to talk to him about his prescription.  I asked which one and he mumbled.  Said he was with "Hercules Pharmacy" in NY.  I'm calling bogus!

I keep receiving calls from this number.  No message is left. On 5.29.14 the calls came in at:11:07 am, 12:18 pm,  1:06 pm, and 3:39 pm.  I do not call numbers back if they don't leave a message or if they are unfamiliar to me.  This is harassment if nothing else!

The caller, which has appeared more than a dozen times on my Caller ID, asked for me by name.  I didn't confirm or deny who I was, but asked to whom was I speaking and what is so urgent that you must call so many times yet do not leave messages.  Her voice was heavily accented (not one that I really recognized) and she stated that she was calling from "Hercules Pharmacy about [my] prescriptions."  I told her I had no idea what she was talking about and hung up.

This telephone number 845-263-1278 constantly calls and the caller, in a thick accent, asks for someone who does not live here and has never lived here and I've been here for over 20 years.  I called back, usually with "this number is no longer in a working order", but, today, someone with a thick accent, male this time, said it was a pharmacy trying to save money on my prescriptions - told him I don't take medications and was therefore not interested.  He said there would be not more calls - Like I believe that!!!

Got a call from 845-263-1278. Asked for my husband. I told HER that he was not available. She was selling drugs at reduced rates. I explained we don't need any. I asked "for future reference" what company she was calling from and I was told Hurcules Pharmacy. I asked for the phone number and her name ---- Scott Anderson!!!  Not in this life time.

Got called from this number and they claimed I ordered pills from a pharmacy and gave some random name like REMAX. I asked him again what he said, (couldn't understand his foreign accent) and he repeated the same thing. When I said I have never purchased pills before he hung up.

Debt Collector
I spent 20 minutes on the phone last night when this number contacted me. I knew from the beginning that it was a scam, but I enjoy screwing with these kind of callers. I questioned the man with a foreign accent so much, that he put me on hold to get the manager. I asked him where his office was located and he said Washington d.c. , but he was calling from new York. So, I asked him what part of town he lived in. He paused for several moments as he was muttering some words with the other guy and he said 1441 Read Road. Bronx, New York. This address does not exist. I then asked him what time it was in new York, and he paused for several moments. He then said it eastern time (I live in eastern time zone). So I asked him what time it was. He paused as if he were trying to do some research, and I said why cant you look at the time on your computer that you are sitting behind right this very second? Or do you not have a computer and your calling me concerning this "Government grant" of $25,000 for education. He finally spit out a time , but the poor man was an hour off :(. I told him that I felt bad that he forgot to spring ahead his clock a month ago. He finally hung up on me. BEWARE! He says he is calling from the U.S. department of human services , and he wants to collect $250 for taxes on the $25,000 grant that is "free money" for your student loans!

Keep calling and won't say their name or who they are. This number was on caller id . Now I just don't answer. First time they called and asked for me. They said it was about college glasses I enrolled in. I never did that.  They paused about 30 seconds then hung up. I guess long enough to trace a call.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>
