Both my husband and myself got the same text message as "Annoyed" within seconds of each other, we do not bank with them. Wondering what kind of scam this is...

Received 8/29/10 similar text message.  My phone is supposed to be "blocked" from receiving text messages and I still received this message.  Where is T-Mobile on this?

Also got a text from 8453458625@bankofthewest.com saying the same thing.  When it's in that format, it means that it was sent through the internet from an online texting service, and the sender only needs to specify any e-mail address for replies.  They entered a fictitious email address of the bank so it would look authentic.

GOT 2 TEXTS ON MY PAY AS YOU GO PHONE. ONE NUMER WAS THIS 845 NUMBER,AND THE OTHER WAS A 800 NUMBER. 800 # SAID CALLER WAS OUT OF AREA ,AND THE 845 # WAS A ENGLISH WOMAN'S VOICE RECORDING ASKING FOR THE BANK ATM CARD #. SCAMS !!!

Received a text message on my TMobile line advising that I received a new Bank of the West notification call 845 345-8625.

I got this text on 8/28/2010 at 11:39pm

Called my local police fraud department and reported the phone number and the text message I received.

got the same message on my TMobile phone - reported it to bank of the west -

got the same message @ 1am.. Im sure its a scam..dont even call.. just delete

I just called bank of the west and advised them of this, i have previously worked for a bank so i knew this a spoof or what we call a phising message i have reported it and forwarded it to them (they will investigate . But if you are concerned you can call the nationally verified customer service number @ 18004882265 or walk in to a local one if you would like to i just thought i would give some advice since i got the same message and i do not bank with them . Also i recommend never give anything like social date of birth address they can be trying to commit identity theft .

That message definite is a con.

I got the same message....what the hell. Too many scams out there people should really get something better to do.

I called the and it wants you to just input your card # so I put in a random # it wouldn't take it. I thought it was funny, and one stupid enough to put your ccard info to them you needed to be scammed.

I just received a text telling me I have received a new Bank of The West notification.  I have T-mobile, but from the above I also see a similar ATT customer response.  I certainly am not going to call anyone but T-Mobile, as I have call blocking, and apparently T-Mobile has fallen flat on their face regarding that.  The Bank is legit, out of New York, but I have never had an account or made inquiries either.  PHISHING for dollars - don't answer this text, don't call.  I don't believe, having some pretty extensive knowledge of the "scammer's world" how these type of scams work.  They want private (financial) info - don't give it up!  Complain to T-Mobile if you have call blocking for unwanted solicitations and raise "Hell"!.

Just received the same message, twice in 5 minutes.  It's a phishing scam.

I just recieved 2 txt message  from 8453458625@bankofthewest.com, it advises to call now free : 1-845-345-8625 and follow the instructions????

Israel? How in the freak did it end up there. All this stuff is kinda weird. If its not the nigerians, then its some dumb terrorirists. Well everyone just make sure you dont call back and have a good night sleep.

We so need to boycott T-mobile for allowing this. I wish I had those Nigerians' numbers so I could prank call them right in the middle of their sleep! LOL

Yeah, so i looked up some info too. I got the same exact message today at 9:38pm PST. Of course I didnt call, but was just curious to see what the hell it was. Ive been getting the same info. Apparently Bank of the West does exist in Cali, but the area code is from New York, which is kind of weird. So yeah, I still think its not legit. These weirdos need to like find a job and get a life!!.. oh yeah and leave me that hell alone

I ALSO TRACKED IT DOWN TO YMAXCOMM CORP.  THEY ARE CREATORS OF MAGIC JACK AND YES THEY CAN BE DOING THIS FROM NIGERIA,  ALL THE SCAMMERS NEED IS AN INTERNET CONECTION.  WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, I ALSO HAVE T-MOBILE

Tmobile said u have to go into your account online and filter your tmobile email account to reject scam type messages like it.
