I have been getting calls for a rickia Stevens which by the way is not me by a bunch of payday loan people looking for I'm guessing the old owner of my # that he was approved for a loan and now I get threatens by a Steven franklin I hope god is with him freaking do***e bag

I wish we could.  But first you have to find them.  Sometimes they are located in other countries.  Your best bet is a call blocker.

A lot of times the callers will spoof legitimate law firms.

Its not unusual for scammers to use a abuse real numbers, real business's, attorney's or law firms, dead or alive movie stars, musicians, Fictional characters on tv even.  

File reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

Probably not one thing! Its illegal to impersonate a officer for a start. And its pretty clear this number is being used for multiple scam operations. Some mention loans, some the microsoft scams.

Got a call from these guys, claiming to be from the Law Office of Steven Franklin in Kingston, New York, stating that I needed a lawyer.

So, I called them back, but the person who answered the phone said that they didn't call me.

Asked them why they were calling me from a Magic Jack number...and why did they seem like they were from a South Asian country with the accent and all...the person said that he didn't know why...

Scammers!  Block their number!

I got a call from this number this morning and knew it was a scam. I tried to call back and it would ring once then go to voicemail. O told him that I knew he was a scam and to never call my house again or I was going to the police even though there is not much that they can do. I recommend that any number that calls you saying you owe money or you qualify for a loan look up the number and 9 times out of 10 they are a fake.

Call blocker might be your best bet.

A person by the name of Steven Franklin from some Legal Service called me stating that unless he heard from me or my lawyer about an on-line loan that I would be arrested in an hour from the time we spoke. As of the time of writing this I have not been arrested. I understand that that I am not the only one that this has happened to, the person that the others talked to may not have used the same name. Don't fall for it people.

I have recieved many messages from this person and also got a phone call at work. They are scammers. I called them and they laugh at you.

When I asked for something in writing, and told him that as a paralegal he should know that this is the law, he hung up on me.

They call me 4 times with threating phone calls

They just called me and left a voicemail said if I didn't call back within an hour charges were going to be filed against my social security number? Most Law Offices when they call do leave their name, of course he did not but he did say his name was Chris Miller.  I think that is what he said as he had a very strong accent.  I'm trying to be nice.

Fradulant call claiming it's an officer from the IRS.

they just called here 1:48 mountain time from new york and they said that they are from the federal attorneys office so i just hung up and this number is the same one that called just now

I got him to stop by simply saying "you have the wrong number. Noone lives here by that name". The phone calls have finally stopped. This is a scam.

He calls me to. I got him to stop by simply saying "i'm sorry you have the etong number". I have not heard from here since. It all started when i appled for a payday loan. What a mistake.

I need to stop getting harassing calls from the phone number

I was scammed once by these bottom feeders. Now, I do not identify myself when they call. I get the calls every once in a while. I have turned them in everywhere. I don't identify myself for a reason. I let them start with their script and then stop them abruptly and ask whom are you calling? That messes them up completely. If the say my name I tell them the following, "The person you are trying to extort money from is DEAD, you can't sue, extort or arrest a DEAD person. In fact the family is holding you accountable for the death of their loved one and our attorney will be contacting them with a suit for crimes against the elderly and causing their death. What is your Bar Association number and are you licensed to practice law in our State?"

I look at it this way, they scammed me once so I am Dead to them. Don't mess with me again as I won't cave into your bogus threats.

Today is my only day to sleep in n they've been calling me every ten mins since 8. Then the threatening message. This is rediculous.

A few months back this number called me said his name was albert herndez  now he says its steven franklin

I am getting these same calls at least a couple times a week, I always let it go to voice mail. The same number- 845-445-2833.  The messages I am getting are very garbled and hard to understand, but they do say that I need to have my lawyer call them back and if they don't hear back from me "may God help me". Don't know how they have my number but I never return their calls because I know they are a scam. They are just preying on people to scare them and con them out of their money.

received many calls over several days finally answered.  was
told that i owed money and needed an attorney on record to stop the sheriff from coming.  asked who i owed money to. said he needed ti transfer my call.  i then hung up and googles steven franklin.

I just got a call today, twice exactly, saying that I needed to contact them ASAP, me or my lawyer, I am so tired of these calls, they need to stop. He gave me his phone number and his name is Steven Franklin. All he said was "God Bless me on what ever happens. How can we stop these people? From some of the posts I think a gun shot to their heads would. Did not leave the name of the company though.

They just called me and left a voicemail and said that I had better call or my lawyer Iam thinking about using a different number and acting like my lawyer and telling them that Iam gonna get a investigation started and see what happens. Lol.      Do not send money

Just got a call from this number.  Said it was important that I call them.  Sounded like someone from Pakistan or India, different number than yesterday, but same message!  Yesterday they called me at my work # and that's a NO-No to me!
I'm putting them on the don't call list and reporting them to the attorney general!

This same raghead idiot called as Steve Franklin. Apparently, I am going to be arrested tomorrow. Cone get me!
