called me looking for donation for nyc police department, told him my husbands a cop, u dont call for donations. and he hung up.

This number called me last week twice. Let it ring and they hang up before the answer machine picks up and they re dial right away.   I called back last week and some guy answered this is the nypd.  I called that number on Sunday and no answer.  The caller id is-YMAX COMMS CORP.  When are they going to catch these guys.

I received the calls on Friday at home & at work and again at work. Doe this person ever give up.?

This same thing happened tome Today 1/25/2013.  I asked for a badge number he disconnecte the call,  The gentlemans name was Christopher Redman so he says the number has appeared in my phone for days now.  Rthe contact number that he called from was 845-445-4610.  I told him that I have friends that are with the newyork police department and I will call and verify his position  there and he immediately disconnected the call again.  I am so annoyed!!!

I just received a call from a Sgt. Davy Jones from the NYPD that I need to call him back immediately if I did not want to be arrested as there is a warrant out on my social security. I deleted the call and will not call him back...it is a scam from India. I am going to call the NYPD and report that someone is using their name. One I have never been to NY.

I just received a call from this number and of course I googled the number and read about the scam. I did call the guy back and told him I had contacted the Kingston Police dept. but they said they don't have an employee by the name of John Fisher, he said there was no need for us to talk any further. and hung up

Calls place of employment saying this is NYPD ...will be arrested call right away...

They just called me back again. I let it go to VM and again the same message again. When i called it back the INDIAN guy that left the message gave me a different name and when I asked where Shawn Martin was he said hold on and that he would transfer me. I could hear him talking to someone in the background and then he got back on the phone saying he was Shawn Martin and when I told him that I turned his number over to the NYPD and my local police he started to call me a F***KER and to go F**K My Mom and then hung up on me. I did contact the police in Kingston NY with the complant and my local police and my local police told me that its a scam and that they have call banks that forward the calls to them in a different country and that all anyone can do is report the number. I have and I just turned the number over to the FBI and they said that they can try to block the number but because they are out of country it will be very hard to stop but they are trying too stop US citizens from being scammed from them.  And told me to NEVER send them anything at anytime and that the scam artist make millions off us.

I just called the number back and they said they where in Kingston NY and cussed me out and told me I would be going to jail.  What a lie.

I have received several calls from this number as well as other calls beginning with the same area code. The man has a thick Indian accent and claims to be an officer/sergeant (depending on the day he calls) and provides a different name every time he calls, which are all very American names, like John Miller. He has my social security number and home address, which is very scary. I never answer the calls, but he leaves messages stating that there is a warrant out for my arrest but will not provide a reason, and claims that "cops will show up at my mailing address if I don't call him back immediately". I have reported these calls to the Better Business Bureau as well as the Attorney General but not sure what else to do. If anyone has any further information on how to report this man I would love to hear it.

I received a call from the same number and the guy w/ an accent stated that he was officer kevin beary and he was calling me from the NYPD he stated that I owed 400 from a pay day loan and that I had 2 hours to send him 100 using the green dot money pak card, I asked him for his badge number and he gave me a badge number. I then asked him why I didn't receive anything in the mail about it and he said that he couldn't send me the info. Then he said that if I didn't send him the money in 2 hrs that he would send the warrent that he had for me over to the local police department and would have me arrested. I was beyond freaked out as I am  single mother of a special needs child and because of my sons disabilities I am unable to work and receive ssi for him so instead of using the extra money I made from a yard sale to get my son christmas gifts I sent it to him. Don't I feel like a sucker. Not just that I fel horible because now my son goes w/o because I got scamed

First he says he needs to speak to me about some legal situation.  then he says his name is Officer Jason Wright with a very deep Indian accent from the NYPD.  Since when do police call you about a legal matter????? I have no idea how he got my work number and that he is going to get me arrested if I don't call back.  Really?!?!?!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I just got a call too and totally freaked out. One because I would never take out a stupid payday loan. Two I am pregnant and he told me I was going to jail. But then couldn't transfer me to someone who could verify this was the police department. And didn't have my info correct. He eventually told me to stop asking questions and hung up on me. Seriously?!

This guy is using a number from a google search engine  but is opperating overseas.... Nothing but a scam.... You cannot be arrested for not paying a bill unless you have been taken to court first.

This guy called me also and he is a very poor scam artist.He needs to stop before I call Homeland Security to go get him and send him back to his country,
He said he was Robin Jackson with NYPD and he was going to arrest me for Social Security fraud!
What a joke. I don't even get Social Security yet and that would be a Federal offence for the FBI to investigate.
This guy has no clue and really needs to be deported back to his country. And the call came to my work phone, What a jerk!

On June 4, 2012 at 4.37pm Shawn Martin ( with and accent)  left a message on my answer machine  that he is the NYC police dept and stat that I need to contact him immediatley.. He call me back I answered and he states that he is Shan Martin with american credit bureau   he have records on me and I owe fast cash and pay day loan and I  ask him to send me info what he states that he receive an email and cant send me the infor and if I refuse to pay he will send to sheriiff office so I ask to verify my last four# ss he could not provide info.   What can i do to get this to stop scam and where is he getting info.

i have been getting calls from this number and another number 805-930-2736 saying that i owe money i have no idea who they are only a payday loan
