Same scan with the 845-582-1984. Received several calls stating that they were from Microsoft and that my computer was bouncing back updates, so of course, they could help if I would log onto my computer and let them help me. Blocked the number on my iPhone!

He's still at it. I just received a call from him with the same story. My called ID just gave his number from Brewster, NY. Altho I knew all along it was a scam because I've heard about this before today. I played along with him. He was concerned about my Windows computer not getting Microsoft updates and wanted access to my computer. After I informed him all the computers in the house are Apple and I'm well aware of his scam he hung up on me. A few minutes ago I phoned the police and they're looking into it.

Received a call from Bahi Anil who said he was from Microsoft and was my computer technician. I told him I had my own technician and he told me I was an idiot! I told him I was reportin him to the Federal Trade Commission because I was on the "Do Not Call" list and that his company would be fined $5000 for makiong the call and he called me an idiot again and then proceeded to laugh. I told him the coversation was being recorded and I was turning it over to the police for investigation and then I said "whose the idiot now"? After that he hung up.

It's worst than you thought. He said he got my computer from a Microsoft server which reports which computers are not responding to Windows updates which appears to be the case (mine is not working correctly). Now how did he get that info? He also knew the clsid number of my home computer and was somehow able to cross reference that to my home phone number. Very scary! When I refused to give him access to 'fix' the problem and I asked what company he worked for, he just hung up.

We have gotten 2 calls from this number with the name: Anil Bahi or something like that.  He didn't even say he was with any company and he said his name was George which clearly was not the case.  He said our computer is returning lots of error messages every day.  I stopped him and said:  I do not know who you are.  Goodbye and I hung up.

We received a call last evening and on the phone it said Bahi Anil and the number 845-582-1984.  Thinking it sounded like it was something from a foreign country, we did not answer it.  Then today because I was curious I looked it up on my computer.

Got a call from the number, showed on my caller ID as Amil Bahi.  Claimed to be representing Microsoft, wanted me to log on to a site which would have given him access to my computer.

This middle eastern man has called  2 or 3 times over a period of several months.  He said he was a "microsoft certified technician". Before he said any more this time, I told him I didn't want or need anything from or about Microsoft and hung up.  There is noise in the background as though he's calling from a "call center".  Microsoft does not make calls to sell to the public...I've told these people before they were frauds and that I was going to report their number to the police.  I wouldn't bother actually, I just don't want them calling again ... of course, they still do.  Be aware folks, they do not represent Microsoft ...they're hackers or some other fraud!

I received a call from this number, a woman who my computer was blocking Microsoft updates and that I didn't have any anti-virus on my computer. I'm not IT or tech savy and usually pretty skeptical. She must have caught me at a weak moment as I started to do what she was saying and finally she was going to "put me on hold for a supervisor".......I hung up AND turned off my computer. This scam is so wrong.......scammers should be prosecuted and locked up! Sure wish some one had warned me about this scam!!!

Received a call 5/21/2014 from 845-582-1984. From Brewster, NY. on caller ID. Man said his name is Mr. Glen Johnson. From  Quick Comp Support- that number is 888-217-1123. This is a "main global server", he said. He said my IP address was showing up with errors and he wanted me to turn on my computer so he "guide" me to fix the problem. I told him my computer is fine. No problems and if there was, I would take it to a local area technician and have it checked out--not someone from NY.

Received the same call saying that one of my computers was sending an error message and I was supposed to type in all sorts of stuff on my computer.  I new what he was doing, so I played along and pretended to be doing what he was telling me to do.  After a while,  he got mad and said I must not be doing what he was saying to do (probably because he didn't have access to my computer yet).   I said, "Oh, does this computer need to be hooked to up to the internet? This is my Windows computer that isn't connected to the internet.  All of my internet computers are Macs."    He got really mad at me and ACCUSED ME of being dishonest and scamming HIM!  Really?

Unwanted phone call telling me I was not getting my security updates. Told him several times that I knew that wasn't true. He kept telling me I wasn't. Asked him to remove me from his calling list. He wouldn't listen. Had to hang up on him.

845-582-1984, did not answer, came here to investigate.  Just as I thought, scum scammer.  I am trying to come up with the perfect way to mess with callers like this, I usually just waste their time by going along or acting like I don't understand, stuff like that.  There should be a government number you could give them and tell them to call, and then some techy overpaid gov employee could entrap them or something.  Would be great to figure out a way to mess with them in a way that would cost them big and get them in trouble,  come on people use your imagination and wreck these sleezoids.

Got 2 calls today from this number claiming to be from Microsoft & stating that my computer has a virus & they need to check it. My caller ID has their name as Bahi Anil which I really is affiliated with Microsoft. I had a previous experience with someone claiming to be from Microsoft who wanted remote access to my computer & then wanted to sell me unnecessary "software" for $400-$600. Today I hung up on them the first time & they immediately called me back so I yelled at them the second time slowly & using small words that they should be able to understand, to never call my number again. Then I hung up. They didn't called back after that.
