i got one from this number

I just did as well. Caller ID just labeled it as Millbrook, NY. No message.

I just got a call from this number--FIGURE IT IS A SCAN DUE TO CALLER ID

I got this call, came up unknown caller, they didn't leave a message.  I called back the next day & guess what?  # Not In Service

I get calls from this number a couple times a day. Finally answered it today and a man with a british accent asked for Gayle Cox. Told him he had the wrong number, he was polite and apologized and I hung up before he got any further so I don't know where or what he wanted. A few months ago I had ATT/SBC or whatever they are calling themselves block any type of third party billing on my number just in case someone tried to bill a scam because it happened to my brother.

2nd call from this number in a month. Both times have been hangup calls for us.

got a call from this number. guy asked for "Mr. Smith," who I am not.  I told him nobody by that name was at that number, and he hung up.  Nice.

Called the number back.  F.I.S.H.Y.  It rang and rang, and finally someone with a strange accent answered with a "Hello?"  I told him I'd received a call from this number.  He acted suprised and said, "Oh, we're calling for cancer fundraiser."  Strange.

Called at 11:30 pm. last night. Caller had thick accent sounded like he was from India. I told him I was on the DNc list he kept on talking until I said I worked for the American Cancer Society, then he hung up. So you could always say that if you want to get him off the phone.

I have experienced the same thing as the other people have within the last few days.  I have an answering machine, so have never had a conversation with these people. My policy is this:  If the person does not identify themselves and/or their company, hang up on them immediately or don't answer the phone.

Call from 845 605 4558. Did not answer as I have had others from them as well.

Took a call today from this number, a male voice indenifying as from "Cancer Foundation".  I've dealt with the American Cancer Society, but this was a new one, and it seemed fishy.  I intended to draw him out and get as much information as possible before filing with my State's Attorney General's office (do not call list), but I was on another call and asked him to wait until I hung up with the other. In that minute's delay, he hung up.

Be careful. They are scam artists. They will try to get your name, address and any other information they can to steal you identity and sell it. Do NOT speak with them or better yet, give them false information.

I received a call from this call center. I asked him to confirm his phone number and he hung up.  I am on the DNC list.

This SCAMMER called my home today.  There was a delay before he picked up.  He then addressed me by my surname.  His accent is Indian/Pakistani.  He runs past a very stupid speil which asks for $25 to send out an information pack.  I am on DNC list.  I'm wondering how this person got my name and phone number.

received several calls and hang-ups before I answered about 9PM - was asking for cancer research donation - from an eastern Indian man -- hung up when he became insistant --

Called at 1035. Answering machine picked up, No message left.

Received a call from this number at exactly 9 a.m. today. No message. It's interesting to find I'm not alone!

Got a call today about Cancer Research. The caller was foreign and it was all I could do to understand him, had to keep asking him to repeat himself. I figure they are a fraud and told him that I was on a no call list and to remove me from their list.

I'm also on the Do Not Cal list, but I got this call last Thursday morning at 8:11 a.m. and didn't bother to answer.  Once again, there was no message left.  I thought fundraisers weren't allowed to call before 9:00 a.m.???????????

calls frequently rings 4 times. does not ring long enough for answering machine to pick up. Calls a variety of phones.

Getting these calls every morning around the same time.

Received 2nd call from this number after not answering a call last week.  It was a live caller with a India type sounding accent.   He thanked me for my past support of the Cancer Research Federation (or some name like that) and asked if the Federation could count on my support again this year and was fairly adamant about sending a pledge card (so that I could help my friends and neighbors with cancer).   I told him that I had not donated in the past and was not going to.  After I reiterated that a few times in rather harsh language he told me that he would not tell me what to do.  I don't know if the organization that he was claiming to represent is legitimate, but I've definitely never donated to it.

Received a call this am, with NO message left on the answering machine but they hung around long enough for the answering machine to pick up 2 minutes of nothing but dial tone!!

Received a call just now. I answered and had to wait a few moments before a voice came on with an accent. (Some kind of British accent but not sure). He said he was calling for the Cancer Federation and thanked me for my previous donations and was seeking another donation. I do not recall donating to the Cancer Federation in the past and I told him so. I also told him I could not donate now. He was polite and said good bye. At least he was polite.

I agree, it sounded a bit suspicious to me.

I have also received tw calls today.

Two calls today, no message left.
