Just got the call.  Free $7000 for paying my taxes and not having a criminal record.  Called back today from a # from Kingston, Jamaca.  Wanted $189 to send the cash Western Union.

THEY PRETTY MUCH OFFERED THE SAME THINGS AS THE OTHERS, SEND $199 UPFRONT AND RECEIVE $5,800 GRANT

I received a call from a guy with an accent  like he was from India who told me that I had a free grant  for around 6 or 7,000 dollars and I would only have to pay $200. That sounded kind of good to me. They were very kind and cordial in their speech and I fell for it. $5,451 later and I received absolutely NOTHING. This was from guys with the name of Jack Davis, Patrick Miller, Batt Robot, John Baker, Sandeep Maggo, Amarpal, Komal, and Kapil. I really would like to get my money back and get these guys in prison.

This is a total scam, number is filtered through woodstock NY but is really coming from india. wish I could reach through the phone.

I just received a call from a guy (possible from India) stating that were are entitled to receive a $7000 grant from the federal government for being good tax payers and no criminal history.  Free money that we would not have to pay back.  He said all I needed to do was go to my local Western Union in the next few hours to collect the money.  I'm sure this is a scam.

A caller who identified himself as "Steve Nelson" called my sister's cell phone asking for my husband by name (not sure yet how he got that connection).  He became agitated when my sister pressed him for his reason for calling.  I anonymously called the number back to inquire about the purpose of the call.  The person who answered would not give his name but did have a foreign accent (possibly south Asian?).  He seemed flustered and insisted on having my name, so I gave him a false name.  He sort of mumbled and seemed to say that he was calling regarding money related to something at the "Federal Grant Headquarters."  He then proceeded to tell me that everything was okay because he was actually on the other line right now with my husband's "wife"!  Ha!  Nice try jerk.
