telemarketing scam

I got a call from them too tonight...no message was left. The only identifying thing was their phone number, which I checked here. Arrrrgghhh!

Just called my house and the "Member Services" caller ID came up. Let it go to the answering machine. My answering machine message says "Hello! This is the ____ residence. If this is a telemarketer, you can hang up right now, if not ...." They hung up!

Yes...the NSA...can track you going to the bathroom....but are rendered helpless to stop these calls from harassing the public...they can stop this nonsense...they choose not to.

This number just called my home phone here in Fl. I just let it ring. They left no message. Happy holidays! :)

Member services on the screen, rang two times and when I picked up was hung up on.  If your ticked and you know it clap your hands:)

Call received this AM.  Robo call.  Numbers are changed often..  I just do NOT answer....

Caller ID says Member Services. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Got a call from Member Services, Called them back, you get a recording asking if you would like to be placed on do not call list for the number that called please press 1. I stayed on the line and it just kept repeating itself 4 or 5 times then disconnected. Why would you do business with a company that hides it's name, does not answer the phone, and rude? Washington is so full of LAZY A** PEOPLE they can't even follow their own laws they make for you and I  !!!!!!

I received a call at 11:38 am on October 31, 2013.   I picked up the phone and the call was a recorded message about saving "hundreds of dollars" on dental care.  The recording did not provide the name of the caller although my caller ID said "Member Services."  I reported the call on donotcall.gov.

There is no company there are no services. They are scammers disguising themselves in order to steal personal information.

This # 1-845-765-4840 called me this morning. ID said member services=how sneaky I repeat SNEAKY done to hide true identity!! I'm not  member of anything that needs to call me w/services!! They're just anther annoying telemarketer......when I ans got a tape whichirks me to start w/-------if your too busy to call me in person then you are too busy to call me period!!!!!!! I hang up on ANY &ALL tape,PERIOD!! Called the # back & got a2nd tape said push 1 to not get calls did so see what happens. AM ON DO NOT CALL LIST> these morons don't understand the word NO.

I get calls from this outfit 2-3 times a week, when I click to speak to someone and ask to be removed, they hang up. I have reported to Do Not Call at least 50 times, but as we all know, the Do Not Call report does not investigate or stop these calls

Member Services called from 845-765-4840, recorded message started and I hung up. I always hang up on messages. At least if you are going to invade my privacy hire and employ an American citizen, I will hang up on them also but at least you can claim you are helping the economy. DNC is a joke. Anyone who works there should be ashamed of collecting a paycheck.

The DNC does do its job! People tend to really misunderstand how it works and generally do not understand that the dnc does not protect you from the scams,frauds,extortionists and the unscrupulous nasty's that refuse to obey laws. Charity's and political, along with some survey's are exempt from this.  Most of those will place you on the their internal DNC if asked though and there is a political DNC (it works very well too I might add) list you can sign up with.  

Complaints filed with the DNC and other agency's are used to establish a pattern, then they can take action. They do make busts, they do fine them, and they do make arrests. You also need to realize that some of these bad actors are located in foreign country's and then their government has to work with ours. Slow it may be, but it does happen!

The more complaints filed, the more info they have to go on!

Robocall with a recorded message about lowering my mortgage payments. Undoubtedly a phishing scam. I reported them to the do not call registry for all the good that does. Before congress cut any more money from anywhere else, they need to defund the DNC registry. They are useless.

This number keeps calling. I picked up and told them the number was on do not call list. hung up on me.

Received this call several time and found out it a scam number.

Got the same call and picked it up just in time to hear it ask me to leave my name and number and they'd call me back! I think NOT! I hung up.

I also just got a call from these people today. Yesterday too. The only message on the machine sounds like background noise of someone listening/watching a sports event.

I just got a call blocker box off of Amazon so I'm going to block this call from now on. I'll keep this up until I block all unwanted calls.

Just got call. ID: Member Services. Obviously not important as no message was left. DNC list only works for honest callers. The scam people don't follow any rules. Officials can't find them as the numbers on our ID's are spoofed so law can't find the real numbers being used.

Received a call from "Member Services", about some one 65 or older. I have not done business with this business. Somehow each time this service changes numbers with the same message. I will now report this call to the national DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. I am also wondering why nothing is being done to bring down these types of companies.

Same as many other reports - "Member Services." The organizations I belong to identify themselves by NAME, not some meaningless garbage as this. Also, this was a ROBOCALL, and yes, the "every (Insert number of choice) seconds a senior falls...." I yelled to my wife not to even answer it, but unfortunately not fast enough, and she had picked it up. We both hung up, and then I picked up the phone after about 15 seconds. Any guesses? Yup, damn robot still yapping!! Tied up my line for about a minute, which definitely does not please me. DNC list? HA!! ALL of my phones are on this list, hasn't cut down the scam calls in the slightest.

Since these folks are scammers, they do not care that you are on the DNC. If you answer or call them back, they know that you are a 'live' person (victim) and keep calling back. Do your best to ignore them.
