I received a call from "Harry" who said he was calling from Alabama & the number came up as New York.  I told him to give me his information & that I am recording his call & then he proceeded to call me a mother****** & kept asking me "now are you recording this mother*****?" Over & over again whispering it in the phone.  These people are pathetic & I can't believe our government allows this harassment!!!!  

Says IRS..Scammers...Do not send them any money!!

Couldn't answer either one. Googled it and landed on this page. Probably scam telemarketers.

I was called today and 2 days ago. The person claims to represent a layer and want to buy some shares I hold. It seems to be a scam, so I don't answer.

Some f***-tard told me he was calling on behalf of windows yadda yadda yadda, and im like dude, i dont have s*** all that is windows except the ones that allow light into my room.

mother f****r hung up right away.

I got a call today and they hung up and then I called back and it said this number is not in service

We have received constant calls from a string of numbers associated with this scam. Just  got a third one in five minutes!  Does anyone have a clue how to stop it?

Got a call at  10:49PM tonight. The caller I D read " YORK, NEW  847-786-8730" , fortunately I was reading in bed otherwise it would have scared the crap out of me if I had been asleep. Day times I don't bother to answer these jerks but this just irritated me to no end. I answered in an annoyed voice and when the little jerk gave me a weak sounding hello I went off on him. I asked him if he was crazy calling people at almost 11 at night and told him to never, ever call this number again then I hung up on him.  This will probably just make them more determined to harass me.

I want to report this #......it is a scam. I want this number blocked.

Someone call me on this number saying I win and iphone 5. Is it a scam number.

A payphone call, with "boiler-room" sounds in background.  Indian dude saying I'd been reporting computer problems . . . I said, no I haven't, and hung up.

I got a call today from this number too. But i wont call back... They want u to call back.

Wife got a call from an indian woman who claimed our computer had been hacked and that if she went to her computer the woman would get her all protected.  My wife said she didnt have to do that as her husband was a computer engineer and she didnt see how a hacker could get past the firewalls.  At that point the women hung, up....Surprise.  Wonder what some old person might have been convinced to do. might have done

I got a call today too, from a guy who sound like he was from India. Stating that he needed to take control of my computer because it had a virus. He could not give me any other information about me or my computer, so I asked a lot of questions and he eventually hung up the phone. How sad is this game. Next time, I will record the call and locate the authoriies, FBI, CIA, Homeland Security and who ever else. This is really getting out of control.

Didn't recognize number. Answered it... Recording said "Good bye" Hope I dont get charged anything for answering!

The man told me my computer was not working properly.He was from windowscenter at California.Now he should help me to check my computer so please do like this.I told him if you know my problems of computer send instructions by e-mai to correct thisl.Then he hang up

Hate to say this but this is why they call all of us all the time. If they never made any money, then the calls would stop.

Because they are calling from places like India, Pakistan or countries in Africa and the Caribbean using cheap VOIP systems to spoof US or Canadian numbers.  Short of tracing them back to the offshore call centers and sending in a drone to blow the place up, there is not much that can be done.  The FTC has indicted the owners of one of the Indian call centers responsible for this but it takes time and is difficult to trace back to the origin of the calls.  Keep filing complaints at the FTC website and hopefully they will take down another of these scam centers.

When they call and tell me that they want to "clean" my computer, I say, "Oh? Okay. But only if I can do your's first". THEY hand up on ME. The ones that call about grants....When I tell them not to call this number again, they say, "Why". So I scream at the top of my lungs, "Because I PAY for this phone. And I said not to. So go F*** yourself."  If you use "strong profanity", they will stop calling. It's just a shame that it has to be taken to that level.

ID as New York  Indian guy said his name was Sam Carter.  I messed with him a bit asking him if he was a legal US citizen, was he married, he said he was from the computer company & my computer was infected.  I told him that we both knew he was lying & he said I should disconnect my keyboard & shove it up my A$$. Why can't we stop these people?

I check these pages before even thinking about answering a phone number I don't recognize. Obviously, don't want to answer this number, along with numerous others that call me from out of state.

This is about the 4th time I have had such a call.  This number called and started asking about my microsoft windows computer,  told them I had apple so they hung up haha

Someone from this company, selling "PC Technocrat", called my elderly mother-in-law and used scare tactics to get her to buy a $150 product. They told her the "police were going to come to her house" and that they were from 'windows operating system support' and that her computer was 'infected'. They kept her on the phone for almost two hours arguing with her and wouldn't let her off the phone until she gave them her credit card information, and they charged $150 on her debit card. Shame on them for taking advantage of an old woman.

Got a call today.  They tried to convince me that I was sending messages to them from my computer.  When I said what? who is this?  They speak so fast and it is a foreign accent.  When I said, no way, what kind of a con is this......guess what.....they hung up.  If they ask for my computer info, they have to be lying because if they are such crackerjacks to tie a computer to a cell phone number (which they called me on) then they have really lost it!!!

These people that claim they are from Microsoft are scammers. I hate to say it but I let one into my computer and they tried to take money and tried to use my Wife's credit card. So beware and very careful. I hope this helps.

Got call from this number , I am from India .

Also got a call... he told me that they were getting information from my computer telling them i had malicious software... i like to play with them, so i accused him of spying on my computer... he told me no, absolutely not.... i replied that if my computer was sending them informaiton they had either spied and hacked into my netowrk or loaded software onto my computer to provide them the information....he told me i was wrong... i told him he was obviously spying on me and that i wanted to know the name of his company because they were obviously spying on me and i was going to report them to the authorities... he yellled No, we are not spying, we are with Microsoft and that if i didn't listen to him and provide him information i would get a letter from Microsoft tomorrow charging me $500 because my computer was causing problems on the network. i told him that was b***s*** and i would like to see that happen because no way would a court ever make me pay that because he was full of b***s***... i then said for them to remove my number from their call list and hung up.... he then called me back 30 seconds later and when a didn't answer, left a message telling me to suck his ...... well you get the picture... hmmmm... i obviously hit a nerve...haha

I got a call today from the same number, I didn't answer.But when I dialed it back a few hours later it said the number was not in service. How in the world do these scammers get numbers from all over and why can't we stop them. Damn Dateline did a story about this, and yet they come up with another away.
