I just got a call from a Man with a thick Indian accent saying he was from Southwest Airlines and that I would get a free round trip flight if I went to their "newly opened ticket center" I knew from the get go it was b***s*** !! Now they keep calling me from this # and 2 others !! Scum bag Scam Artist !!

Another fraudlant call about my computer having a virus. I can't believe such boldness, sadly some might give them access and then they have your information. I suspect that I did give someone access believing it was Microsoft whom I had called, but it was not a valid number one  they had posted on the internet and it appeared valid, but not so. How can such fraudlant
activity go unrecognized and stopped?  

I'm in The Netherlands and have a non-published number. On 5-29-2014 I was called by +8459281836. A guy said he was from Windows support and that I had a virus. I said he's part of a scam and hung up. I checked the number. +84 is the country code of Vietnam. According to my True Caller app the number is owned by one Khaled Tabbarah, from Gia Lai, Vietnam.

I am visiting the US for about 2 weeks. I don't remember where I listed my phone number (a french mobile) on any websites aside from the plane ticket and i think on amtrack. if those databases leaked, that would be a real disappointment in terms of their safety/security.

I just received the same call,they even knew my name,the guy was very pushy but I hung up on him.About 2 minutes later they tried calling back with a new number but I didn't answer the phone.I did a reverse call track and came up with this site with people haveing the same problems. I am also from Canada.

I got a call from this number, said hello 3 times and no answer. I hung up and called the number back and it states this number is disconnected or is no longer in service.

      I have told this company to stop calling me for over a month and it still is going on. I just got a phone call from a man with a thick Indian accent telling me he was from IT dept. and to turn on my computer so he can diagonise. I have told them I am on the Do Not Call registery and they still keep calling for over a month. Never use this company

     I'm not sure if this is the company I used last year to help fixmy computer, they didn't and I got a new computer. I have told them for over a month to stop calling me and they keep calling. I will never use this company again. Can you get them t stop calling me

Still going on .... Just got a call from 001-845-928-1836  in Ireland. Some poor sods must be falling for this scam, otherwise it wouldn't still be going on.

Woman with Indian accent asked if I had a computer, I said yes.  She asked if I had internet access, I said yes.  She asked for the name of my computer and I said no, hung up and blocked the number.  Come on people! Gotta be smarter than that!

I never trust phonenumbers that i don't know.

If its important, they should use my voicemail.

I had exactly the same experience in October 2013. I asked for his name and that of his supervisor and his email address and he hung up. When I dialed the number back it had been disconnected.
Although I rarely pick up cold calls on my private line in France, I was waiting for a call from the US and don't know what zipcode the person's cell phone is registered in. Since this was a u.s. number (001, 845-928-1836), I picked up. The insistence that my computer was going to crash and lose everything was disturbing even if I thought it was a scam and said as much. Where do we report these people. The accent was east Asian: Indian or Pakistani perhaps. He had my last name which means that he is going through the listings in a phonebook or online service. Does that mean he also is capable of sending me emails? I told him if he or his company had concerns about my computer and they were valid, he could either give me his name/his supervisor's name and his own email or he could email me with this information. So far no email. But it will be in some ways even more disturbing if he reaches me by email as well. Ugh.

I got a call from this number at 6:00PM EDT. Caller had a very thick Indian accent.  He informed me that was calling to inform me that I was selected to receive $7,800 from the US DEPT of Health and Welfare.  He said there were 1500 people selected and I was one of them. Supposedly there was no cost to me and I could select to pick up the money in cast or have it directed deposited to my bank.  I selected the cash method. So he proceeded to verify my name then my date of birth of birth.  I told him I was not providing a DOB. He said without it I would not receive the telephone number of the confirmation number. I then told him to go F___K HIMSELF.  

Got a call from this number today. I let voicemail answer and they didn't leave a message. I called it back and it said number no longer in service. I hope they don't keep calling.

I just received a call from this number.  The person on the other end was a male with a thick accent.  He told me that he was calling from the Windows Service Center and that they were getting many error messages from my computer in the past few days.  He said I had picked up a virus and only he could fix it.  He asked me to go to my computer right then so that he could give me directions to allow him to remotely fixed it.  I told him no way.  I wasn't going to work with an unknown person who had done a cold call - if my computer crashed in the near future like he said it was going to do, I will take it to a known and trusted IT person for repair and then I hung up.

I got a call from this number and there was no one on the other end. After about 30 seconds, an automated voice said, "good-bye". I called it back and the number says it's out of service... super sketchy. I am also on the Do Not Call list so I have no idea who this is.

Some guy calling at 10:30 PM, English was not his first language, and the call kept cutting out.  He was calling about my Windows computer. Newsflash buddy, we have Mac!  When I advised him of the insane time to be making this call, he made some comment about being with my husband. Couldn't make it out with the lousy accent and noise on the line. He eventually hung up when I told he we had no PCs.

Received a call from this number after 11pm. No one was on the other end. I then called the number back and it said the number was disconnected. I am on the do not call list yet why am I still getting these calls?

Have a phone call in the early morning. From the indian guy....They have called me several times....

for a minute then asked for his phone number...that was it!

Got a call attempt from this nr today (20 feb 2013). I didn't have time to take the call, so let it run to voicemail. No message left of course...

I got a call and ignored it and when I called them back maybe 5 minutes later it said the number was out of service??? Kinda strange since it just called me???? Idk?

I just received that call from (845) 928-1836. They asked me to run "eventvwr" on my Windows computer.

I quickly looked up the keyword "eventvwr", and knew it was a scam.

I ignored them and he hung up.
I also recorded the conversation.

Had them phone tonight. Strung them along for awhile until they told me to "Go f**k myself." I gave them some kind words in return and they hung up. A few minutes later they phoned me back and told me "I'm going to f**k you!" before hanging up again. Some kind people.

Just received a call from this number from a guy with an Indian accent.   Guess these jerk scam artists are trying a new number but same old bs crap to frighten people.    I told him his number is now being reported to the RCMP, then hung up but before I could ring off he was still trying to say my computer was being hacked.   LOL

I don't know who this is but they called and when I said hello repeatedly, all I head was music and no one answered.

Same kind of guy called just now, when i told him i was behind a secure firewall with redundancies he started spouting about how anti virus wasn't safe... i must have rattled him some. when i asked him to tell me what my ip address was he said i wasn't authorized to be told that information... what a joke.

this indian guy called .. arrogant as hell ! He's telling me i've got a problem with my pc . yeah right !
Says I have to open my pc for him to explain the problem I have on my pc .. he can't explain verbally
what is going on but wants me to go on a website that will let him log in to my pc remotely ... yeah right !
SCAM is the problem in my opinion.

I got called from this number around 10pm tonight, and I answered the phone, but the caller was silent though I could hear some non-English-speaking people were talking on the background. The caller hung up after about 10 seconds.
