If this in any way helps someone, it will make yesterday's frustrations worth it.  

I too had an unrelenting Bank One fax tying up my phone lines all day long.  I tried faxing back to the number over 20 times but still, it just wouldn't stop.  Fed up, I found a corporate number for Bank One.  They of course pushed responsibility off on some overseas call center, but it was my turn to be unrelenting.  

I eventually acquired fax number (888) 643-9628 and sent a note in very large letters asking that the faxes stop.  It must have gotten someone's attention because no fax-calls since then!
