Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The first thing to do is to get a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.
* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

This is the 3rd week in a row that this company has called me every damn day.  Today I just picked up the phone and slammed it down.  My caller ID says WorldCom Multim and the people who call say they are from Vehicle Processing Center trying to get info from you saying your car warranty is up and to sell you an extended warranty.  Each person I have spoken with is from India and doesn't comprehend the words STOP CALLING or I DO NOT HAVE THAT CAR, etc.  I have reported this at least 10 times to the Do Not Call List, yet nothing is being done to stop this company from calling.

This company has called me 10 days in the past 2 weeks saying they are calling from Vehicle Processing Services yet my caller ID says WorldCom Multim.  The people sound like they are from India and when I asked the guy today what is WorldCom he wouldn't answer.  They are trying to sell extended car warranties and told him there wasn't a car and to quit calling.  With that he said so how many miles are on your car and I said don't you listen - there is no car and then he said what do you drive now and I said nothing and to quite calling since I am on the Do Not Call List.  But I can bet they will call again tomorrow or the next day.  If I don't answer they don't leave a message but keep calling every day.  These people need to be stopped!!!!

They never stop calling my cell, which is really aggravating, and I never answer the phone when I see the number.
