The DNC does not cover debt collectors, its for telemarketing only.  These type's of calls do fall under FDCPA and TCPA laws though, so you do have legal recourse! :)

I get calls from this number at least 5 times a week telling me someone named Latempka Bradford owes money.  No matter what I do, they keep calling.  I've even spoken to a representative and explained no one by that name lives here, and they still call even though they said they would remove my number from the list.  I'm on the Do Not Call registry, too, but this doesn't seem to stop them.

These people call my phone ALL THE TIME!  Yesterday, I finally got tired of them and called the number back again.  Instead of me telling them the usual...not the person you're looking for...please stop calling...I told the person that I worked in law enforcement and that I was collecting their calls and when I had enough I was going to press charges on them for telephone harassment, which you can do.

They keep calling me...... They don't leave a message.

The only remedy is to call them every single day and tell them that you are never ever going to pay them.  I have been doing this for several months and they get all mad. Sometimes they hang up on me but I call again the next day.  The calls have at least stopped only on Sunday because everytime I call they have to note the account.  By doing this, I am costing their company money. They have to stop and answer my calls, look up my account and then be told that I will never ever pay them.  You need to turn the tables and start costing them money... they have certainly spent way more than the $100 they say that I owe them by taking my call every day.

I call them every single day and tell them that "I am never, ever, ever, ever going to pay them". They get all mad and yell at me... now they just hang up on me. But I call again the next day and remind them that I am never ever going to pay.  They hate it and suggest that you do the same

This number has called several times asking for identification-by listening to the message I am acknowledging that I am James (mispronouncation of my last name). I hung up. I have researched that this is an illegitimate collection agency.

They don't show any proof of this so called debt but only proclaim it through the phone. Nothing in the mail proclaiming this so called debt. This is a big SCAM!!!!, I or anyone else will not give our credit card information through the phone because some person says so.  Why must someone pay for the Fire Department, if they had not even called the Station in the first Place!!!! I would love for them to quit calling and harassing me.

They said I owed 75 dollars to the Fire station around my neighbor hood, and I was in a accident awhile ago. but I had never called the Fire department. so they keep calling which I didn't understand why. It so annoying when they call, harassing me.

How do these recruited debt collection agencies get away with calling after-hours and on the weekends? I get calls all night from these people; no respectable business would employ such tactics, demeaning the recipient.

Be careful, it is a scam. Never give out credit card or other identifying information without seeing proof of a debt. This company has been calling me since July of 2008.

I just received a phone call from this number, and they named themselves as Northwestern Collection Agency, which is not true! They said I have two tickets, and I need to give them my credit card # :)))))))) that was funny... they just thefts. I have checked through Driver License Facility and I don't have any tickets on my record. DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!

Idiots call with a recorded message that asks you to push buttons if you are the person, if the person is home and can come to the phone, if the person isn't home, and if this is the wrong number.

Now, how the heck are you supposed to press buttons on a voice mail message?

im living in texas and im getting this call! it total BS. they call and say its concerning buisiness info for someone named Sean Werster? i dont even know. im getting really sick of this crap!!

I picked up the phone when they called and got a automated message for me deceased mother.  The automated message said that my mother had an outstandng bill with someone (I couldn't understand the name) so I pressed the number associated with talking to a representative.  When I got someone on the line and I told them my mother was deceased and that I was the trustee of her estate they told me that I had to send a power of attorney for them to give me any information on the outstanding bill.  I argued with them that a power of attorney is not valid when someone is dead and didn't they want me to forward a death certificate.  I tried to tell them that the name of the business my mother owed money to was on the automated message, I just couldn't understand the name - but they won't help.  I decided it was too much work on my part to settle this debt and decided to ignore them.

This company will not stop even when you are not who they are looking for.

NCI - collects for many major medical centers and hospitals.  I, too, am fighting with the insurance company.  

FYI - Alexian Bros Medical center staff believe lungs are not a vital organ, therefore I should have gotten PCP approval during my asthma attack before the ambulance arrived to take me to the hospital.

I have been getting these calls for almost 2 years now. I have gotten one red light ticket and that was within the last 3 months, and it was paid. I am constantly getting a recording telling me that this is an important message and to please "hold." I never get a person. I now have them saved in my phone and automatically sent to voicemail so I am not bothered with this anymore.

This company represents The Red Light Enforcement for many Illinois Police Departnents. They call if the "ticket" has not been paid and/or if there is a late charge ($100.00) for tickets paid late.
These people are mindless machines that feel that if you call a person enough, they will admit guilt and submit payment so they can make their percentage. DO NOT PAY! Ask to be contacted by the police department in question. If they call back saying they ARE the police department, report them to the FCC or the department they claim to be with.
They are no more than BILL COLLECTORS. The RED LIGHT ENFORCEMENT is insult enough without listening to these idiots. ALSO. They will tell you that they will report you to the Credit Agencies and destroy your credit...BUNK! They are just out to make a buck.

Someone called me from this number saying that they were a collection company and that I had a past due bill from my doctor's office and they wanted me to pay with credit card. when I called the doctor's billind dept they said I had no balances pending... It was def SCAM.... Be careful if u getting calls from this numer !!!!
