The number is that of the Lake County, IL jail. Inmates use this number to communicate with the outside world. One must establish an account with IC Solutions using a charge card to put money into an account, usually for one specific person. There are taxes & fees for doing this, so when one puts, say $25.00 on the account, the taxes & transaction fee runs that $25.00 charge up to about $34.00. When the inmate then calls the number that provided the account, there is a charge to that account for establishing the call & then I think 7 cents per minute. Apparently there are inmates who use other inmates names & accounts when they take over such an account. The recorded voice stating whom the call is "from" seems to be still active even after that inmate is no longer in jail. So be very careful if you do know someone in the jail & you do establish an account for that person.

I just received one call from this number, did not leave a message. I tried calling back and it does not accept incoming calls. It's probably inmates dialing the wrong number.

Been getting calls from this number nonstop for the last 15 minutes. They have called 8 times. Once I picked up to listen and its a message in Spanish, with a name I don't know, followed by "Lake Country Jail". I don't know anyone on Lake County, much less one one in jail, nor do I speak Spanish. Highly annoying.

Been receiving calls from this number for the past six-seven days. Roughly twice/day. It does say something along the lines of:

"You have a call from Blargh?(can't really hear a name, just a kind-of blargh sound), an inmate in Lake County Jail."

Seeing how I don't have any friends in jail, I hung up. Rather tempted to call the jail itself and ask them to add me to some kind of no-call list as I don't know anyone located there.

I received (the same) seven calls from the 847-406-5224 also in Spanish, within a few hours on my cell.  Very annoying!  Messages were left, but I just ignored them.

I ahve same problem with ll these people who they are..? any one can explain..?

Got a call from this number and, in recorded English said it was a call from an inmate at Lake County Jail.  I did not wait to see who as I figured it was a scam of some sort.

This is a Lake County Jail, you can not call the number back but they redirect you to ICS Inmate Connect Service @ 888 506 8407. I was contacted on a cell number unknown to anyone I know in Lake County, my assumption is that all inmates are stripped of all personal belongings and they may try to call numbers from memory and dial the wrong numbers.The other catch is inmates can not call collect to cell phones, they also direct you to a pre-pay number service. None of these numbers are spanish only either, if you answer and don't press 1 for english they will continue to rattle through numero dose espaniol. My problem it is a weekend and none of the other main numbers are answered by receptionist, all automated.

Just hoping that if I've got a friend/co-worker in jail right now attempting to call my very private work-only cell phone number that they don't get corn-holed while they wait for someone to answer through.

just yesterday and today someone keeps calling me from this number i do speak spanish and im feeling tempted to answer but since iv heard of the scams i havent answered. they are calling me now its the 4th time today in less than 5 minutes. i want some answers

Received a phone call from this number like 10 times today.  They are not leaving messages just hanging up.  I do not answer phone calls unless I know who they are.  Does anyone know who this is?  It is coming from a cell phone number I think in Waukegan.
