I just got a call from Karen with the same thing - expanding in Lake in the Hills.  Said someone gave her my number, but couldn't tell me who.  She called me AT WORK (a job that I LOVE - and anyone who knows me, knows that I love my job) and asked if I would be interested in leaving.  When I told her that I thought she was unprofessional for calling my place of business, she got very huffy and defensive.  Makes me think it's some kind of scam.  

Just got the same call from Karen, on my WORK cell phone. Red flag when she didn't say which company she was with.

Karen left this one on my home voice mail  "I'm very interested in speaking with you regarding some expanding that I'm doing, in lake in the hills. I had come across your name through our corporate marketing as someone who had a lot of the skills I was looking for. "  Some idiot friend of mine who was dumb enough to go to a meet and greet gave my home #  - May all the sales people find real jobs one day.  I have half the mind to call her back, and send her to my work website for a real career.

Same message as Kjd. I first looked up http://www.primerica.com/karengriffith. Then I looked up Primerica and Wikipedia said business model "Primerica, Inc. is a multi-level marketing company". MLM as-in Amway/Quixtar  as-in is a sure-fire way to loose your *** unless you know how to scam, use and abuse those who you solicit(i,e you will be leaving messages saying I am Joe Blow and am examining in area xyz). That's how MLM works.

The BBB does NOT have multiple complaints, Primerica has very high ratings, you shouldn't spread false information and rumors

Kim Graf, Karen Griffith, 2 different people. Both them are really nice, I have a mutual fund with them and I'm very happy.  You should take the time to get to know people before you pass judgment.

Just got same exact message from Karen Griffith on 5/23/13 from 847-458-6780. I am a disabled stay at home mom of 2 kids, and have been for 12 yrs - haven't worked since becoming disabled, so where exactly did she find my list list of skills? Nice try lady. FAKE.

I also received a call from Karen Griffith with the same story "looking to expand my office in Lake in The Hills".  Glad I googled her. Thank you everyone!

I just got the same phone call, said she had gotten my resume from College of Lake County. After reading the above, glad I turned her down.

Got a call from Karen Griffith @ this number...she left me a vm and said I had skills and to call her back about a job.  Thanks for the heads up....so glad I looked here first.

Karen left me a voice mail with the same message other people are reporting except, said she got my information from corporate marketing. I was skeptical when I listened to her message because she didn't mention what company she was calling from or what the position was, and she didn't address me by name. I actually called her back thinking she called the wrong number and that she was trying to get in touch with someone else. I started the conversation by saying I was returning her call. She asked my name and I gave her my first name. So, at that point, I realized it wasn't a wrong number because she acted like she was glad to hear back from me. She said their office in Lake in the Hills was expanding and I had the skills and qualifications for a position. I told her she was being very vague. She asked "how so?" I said she hadn't told me anything about the job, the company, or why it was that I was qualified for it. She said it was a financial company that has "leaders" like myself help other people with their money. I said I had no professional background in the financial field. She said that she can teach that part... It's the leadership and people skills that can't be taught. She wanted to set up an interview. I said I'm very happy in my current job and it would take a lot to get me to leave. I'd look into the company and call her if I was interested. That's when I came across all these comments. Not sure if it's a scam or legit company, but it's definitely not something I'm going to pursue.

Looks like she has been hiring for a long time! I just received a call today from Karen.  LITH office is still expanding.  it must be huge by now.

I am in the IT field - technical support.  I will not be calling her back, as I would starve to death if I ever had a job that involved SALES.  I cannot sell anything and wouldn't want to try. IGNORE THESE CALLS!

Karen Griffith called me today. I am glad I didn't answer and looked at all these reports. She said she got my resume online and had a great opportunity for me and I had all the skills she was looking for. No matter how many times I put "no sales positions" on my resume they still call anyway.

Got the exact same messge, verbatim. My resume is posted on Career Builder. Definitely not going to call anyone back if they won't state specifically where she's calling from and what positions she has to offer. Beside, I live almost an hour away from Lake in the Hills. Probably wouldn't even consider a position there anyway.

Karen Griffith just called me at 11:20am today, January 13th. I suspected a scam when she wouldn't say what co. she was with, just that she found my resume online and that I have many of the skills she's looking for...

You people are incredible. I have known Karen for almost 5 years and she is on of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.  None of you have even talked to her and yet you pass judgement based on a Google search and what other people say.  People you don't even know.  Do you always believe what you read on the internet?  Karen has helped tons of families over the years, including my own.  Instead of taking strangers opinions as truth why don't you give her a chance, maybe talk to her personally and form your own opinions, what an intriguing idea!  If you don't want to talk to her or anyone else from Primerica, give her a call back and ask to be put on the do not contact list.  It really is that simple.  If that is too difficult for you try this; If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all.

I received word for word, the same voicemail message 15 minutes ago, right down to the "I'll be here until um, let's see".  I think it's really sad because there are so many of us looking for legitimate work that many get caught up in these scams.  I'm so glad this website is here to help others from wasting their valuable work search hours on unscrupulous people and companies like this.

I got a call and went. There were four other poor ladies like me attending the presentation. I was crazy enough to sign up and am out of $30  for a background check fee... please dont go.

Got a call from Karen Griffiths on my work voice mail saying she is expanding her office in Lake in the Hills and someone told her I have the skills she is looking for.  The number she used to call me is one that is strictly voice mail and I use it when I place ads for the au pair service I work for.  I never give it out to anyone else and it goes directly to voicemail.

Word for word even the time checking with the ""uh" is the same voicemail i got.
