Unwanted calls from 847-488-6050

It is Chase. They asked for my husband and I knew that his payment was late and I had just paid it today online. I said, is it about his credit card because I just paid today would you like the confirmation number? She said sure. So I gave her the amount paid and the confirmation number. That was all.

That 847-488-6100 is Chase calling too. I don't answer them either. I made that mistake a year or so ago. They are so bugging! Take a look at our account! If there's a payment pending for 2 days from now, shut up and quit calling!

Chase - Even though I had a payment set up for today (Thursday) they called 4 times a day all week looking for payment. I went online and sent a secure message to tell them to quit calling me. It's not going to make Thursday come any faster. It's Thursday now, the payment has been posted. So let's see if they call now.

I loed up this number and it says on the white pages that it's a landline in Illinois. So this number cannot be Chase. I receive calls from this number, as well as (847) 488-6100 atleast 6 or 7 times a day. I don't answer and never will. They don't leave voicemails. If it were Chase, they would. And legitimate company would. Plus, I haven't received any emails from Chase regarding late payments or anything else, so I don't believe it's them.

I just called these people back and got an notice that this call may be monitored or recorded. When the guy came on they wanted my 16 digit account number. I told him I had no account with Chase and I was also recording the call. He said I would have to stop recording or he would end the call. I told him to turn off his recorder and I would do the same. He said he wouldn't do that but could not continue unless I stopped recording. I told him I wouldn't and he hung up on me. I called back and talked to a woman. I recorded the fact that they got the wrong number when she looked it up. I believe if they call and you tell them you are recording that they should continue. If they record us we should be able to record them.......

Getting calls everyday from this number (847-488-6050), on my cell. Noone leaves a msg. If I don't recognize number, I usually don't pick up. This is so annoying. I figure, if someone really needs to speak to me, they will leave a msg, who they are & why they are calling. I have also had people call, leave a msg, and ask for someone else....."Pete", usually. Grrrr. I wish this would stop!

Don't have a chase account, never had, never will... Don't know why they call several times a day. I don't answer.

They keep calling my phone but only thing is is that I don't have a chase credit card or anything from chase. I don't have any credit cards and never have.
RLE 2012-05-24 19:52:01 Unknown
Don't have a Chase Card or any account affiliated with Chase. Getting these calls 2-6 times a day. Not behind in any payments on any account. When I do answer there is no answer. This is harassment whether they are Chase or not!

This was a call from Chase. It is a notification system to alert you about a QuickPay usage. Such as someone accepting money from you. Annoying, and unwanted, but has a purpose. You can disable from your Chase online profile.
sam 2012-04-10 21:29:43 Unknown
Because it is a scam. Call them up for yourself. Give them your account number. I called Chase from the number on the back of my credit card and they say it is a scam. No paranoia, just fact.

Been getting multiple calls from this number. Finally answered it this evening at 8:40pm, they asked for someone who was not me. I told them they had the wrong number, and they relentlessly insisted on me giving them my name to "update the account" so they wouldn't call me anymore. i told them to simply delete my number, and that it wasn't the same owner anymore. Ended up having to hang up on the lady because she kept asking me to spell my name for her, and told me that she was going to record the call at one point.
I am seriously ticked off by this, and if there are any actions I can take to report this further, I'd appreciate if someone on here could recommend the appropriate action. Thanks in advance.

I received a call from this number about 1 hour ago. I told them they had the wrong name and hung up. Hopefully, they will not continue calling.

I am getting repeated calls from this number. I never answer calls from a number I don't recognize, so came here to learn who was calling me. I do have a Chase account, but always deal directly with them. UGH.
mary 2012-03-06 15:01:11 Unknown
Check them out before you give any info. I called chase and they said their not affiliated
FraudBuster 2012-02-22 17:20:01 Unknown
It's an offshore phishing fraud - it has nothing to do with Chase whatseover. DO NOT provide any information whatsoever or speak to them.
Happy Puppy 2012-02-22 17:17:39 Unknown
Also, I will now never do business with Chase nor will I use their services for anything, this type of bad behavior for credit card collections is not acceptable business practice needs to stop. We can all stop this by not using Chase or any of their services until they end predatory practices.

I do not have any Chase account nor am I in debt, in fact I do not have any credit cards. I received 137 calls from this number in the past three weeks, I have my ringer off and use the phone only for outgoing calls. I called the Chase privacy line at 1-888-868-8618 and told them I do not have an account number and the 137 calls is really unnecessary and I do not have nor need a credit card and please stop calling me. The phone operator who spoke perfect English said that my number was attached to an account. I told her I did not have any account with them and she said she would remove my number from that account and it may take a few days to stop getting calls from them. Will write back in few days if the calls have ended.
Tim 2012-02-04 18:47:17 Unknown
My suggestion would be to call your carrier and explain it and ask them to call that number and tell them that the number has gone to a new customer. I did that once and it worked like a charm.
kerfuffle 2012-01-17 21:58:14 Unknown
Why is it for every legitimate listing of a bank or other similar caller there is at least one paranoid idiot saying it is a scam? It is Chase, calling about your credit card or other account. Perfectly legitimate, but if you are concerned, just call the 800 number on the back of your credit card.
Good grief.
