DNC id theft

This company is a scam DON'T TELL THEM ANY INFORMATION!! Their name is Montage Inc 3580 Wilshire Blvd # 1170 Los Angeles, CA 90010. 1-800-479-0776. Ask for Arash.

I am on a do not call list

Thank you all for your input.  I received a call yesterday headed " Direct Assist" then the 555 exchange,

No message left.  This is a new number to me.  It is just as aggravating as all the others. The DO NOT CALL LIST remains totally useless.

Not sure who this is. I could not reach the number when I tried to call back.

Spam, spoofed number. Called to lower electric rates. This is getting as annoying as the calls from "Rachel".
They have spoofed other numbers 312-340-5580,312-555-3028.

This is the 4th time this month this company has called trying to have me switch utility service (electric company). Each time i used auto-system to "opt-out". Did not work. This time i waited for an operator. When she asked if I had my electric-bill handy, I mention I was complaining about their constant calls. Of course she "dumped" my call hanging up on me. This number (of course) is fake. Since no one has 555-prefix. That is only used in movies/television. These companies need to spontansously combust. :-) That would be a fitting end.

"Energy Choice Assistance" as others have found,  these fraudsters hide behind numerous phone numbers and/or spoof caller ID.  If they were legit, they would not have to hide who they are and what they do,  what a bunch of scum .....  I was able to coax out of "Stephanie" that they were located in Chicago ... so at least we have a place to start.

Got this call too. Didn't bother to answer and they didn't leave a message.

Thanks for your input. I keep getting the same calls. Also decided to put an end to it. We will see. May end up on an even bigger list of more marketers....

this number keeps calling numerous times in a row. stop annoying calls.

The DNC list is fairly ignored this year. I receive calls from 847-555-9423 plus many others that can't be
reached or have a recording that says, "If you would like to be on our DNC list press ONE". I have pressed ONE until I am exhausted. I have just blocked them from my cell phone. Apparently calling people who are on the national DNC list is no longer a violation that is watched.

The caller ID said:
DIR ASST   IL

I answered. No one there.

I just got a call from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Another annoying call and hangup.

I have received numerous calls from this robodialer that says something like "if you are not receiving government assistance you may qualify for a discount..." Today I decided to follow the prompts until I could get a person and tell them to stop calling me. Eventually agent 1053 (Shae?) came on and asked if we were participating in any energy assistance programs. I asked which company she was with and she said she was with Energy Choice Assistance. I explained that we are on the do not call list and she responded that "we are just trying to find out if you qualify for discounted energy options." I explained that the whole point of a do-not-call list is to keep companies from calling us to sell us stuff and that she needs to make sure they don't call us again.

Same thing. Got a call, no message. Called back and it said "XO communications, City and state please" Wondering why directory assistance would call me?? Weird.
