Yep, just got this number on my cell, no message.  Wonderful.

Got one too and asked who it was and she gave some name and said where are you calling from and she kept asking for a woman so I hung up on her.

It's Portfolio Recovery or Wells Fargo or whatever place they are PRENTENDING to be nowadays....Thes people are sick They must have hundreds of numbers they call from. How could this possibly be a legitimate business(I know it's not) if they need to hide behind multiple phone numbers from different states.

Thankfully my cell is on an unlimited plan.

If I don't know the number the answering machine get its, always a hang up as soon as it kicks in.

OMG! I am getting serveral calls from these people from SEVERAL different numbers! I had to instal a call blocker on my cell just because they call from so many numbers & so many times! this is beyond crazy and now i am even considering to change my number!

this number is for portfolio debt colletors NOT DOBBS INTERNATIONAL SERVICES. it uses this number and several others to get you you answer the phone.

Received call from 847-678-9723 today. Asked for Gina?? When I told them she doesn't live here...they kept asking me to get a message to her. Wouldn't take no for an answer. I told them if this was a debt collection call that "her debts were not my debts" and again she doesn't live here so don't call me again!!! These people are sneaky and aggressive but they hung up on me when I started raising my voice and wouldn't allow them to talk.

Notice that since Congress passed the law (Truth In Caller ID Act of 2010)  against spoofing, these calls from 847 area code have stopped. If you are still getting spoofed calls, tell them you are recording the conversation and have the number logged and you are calling the FTC.

wow, they keep calling for my daughter and I keep telling them wrong number but they keep calling. Dobbs International 847-678-9723. so I was glad to see your post that it was Portfolio Recovery. They are very sneaky. They violate collections laws all the time and no one does anything about it.

So I Googled the name, i no a lot of people on Memphis so  I thought it might be a friend working in the food service business but I decided to Google the number and it came up as portfolio recovery, sneaky sneaky but I don't answer my home phone anyway with all the technology out. I just Google all number I don't answer.

Received a call from this number at 9:48 am. Came up Dobbs Int L SVC on caller id. Didn't answer but they left no message.

They call and call and call all day long. I never answer a call from someone I don't know esp an out of area, area code. They never leave a message!

got a call from this number as well. Don't owe a damn thing, must be former owner of this cell phone number who knows. This company keeps changing numbers and keeps calling regardless of the fact that I never answer the phone...never unless I know the number. I figure if it is important the party will leave a message. My suggestion is put this number as Bill Collector (#), set number as no ring, and forget about it..they will never listen to reason so whats the point of arguing with them.

Zombie Debt Collector.  Trying to collect on old, statute of limitation elapsed unenforcable debts.  Depending on your State, check your Statute of Limitations, they might be trying to illegally collect money from you.  You do not have to talk to these people.

another call from a new # from scumbags portfoilio recovery. i dont answer and block that #,they dont seem to run out of #s. this one list another company which isnt them. ought to be a law against them claiming to be another company on caller id   dodds int l svc.

New number for them. they use about half a dozen.

Caller ID said Dobbs Int'n Svc., but is Portfolio's number, who calls me 2-4 times daily and never leaves a msg. I don't owe anybody if they're a collection agency. These are scumbags who get a number and won't let go. Dobbs Int'n is owned by Swissaire and is illegally using their name which is a felony.

These morons have been calling my teenaged daughter's cell phone.  They never call my number, so I am thinking some deadbeat has either had her number previously or has given out a false number.  This makes him as big an idiot as the people who are calling!

They are relentless with their phone calls.  I even told them that I have no intentions on paying a bill from 10 years ago and they told me they were going to continue to call me anyway.

So now when they call I am obnoxious, I either blast the radio or TV - which ever is closer!

Calls my cell.I have Do-Not-Call on my cell as well as on my home phone.I get these calls all the time and who whats to stop what they are doing and answer a phone with a recording or no one there?

Portfolio Recov caller id hang up call that also uses an OUT OF AREA caller id and numbers 757-864-0020 / 847-678-9710 / 757-961-3548 / 800-772-1413 / 731-984-7690 / 620-662-8870 to cold call. Websearch numbers shows numerous complaints on this unscrupulous company for years and just looks like not a very credible company to deal with at all by the information posted.

I just received a call from Portfolio also shows up as Dobbs Int l Svc. If you google Dobbs it comes up as the airline food service company. They are spoofing again!
