I got the same message as everyone else. Super annoying.

They probably got your info from a Facebook app. Report the Yahoo ID to Yahoo abuse and the texting number to abuse@textplus.com

i just got the same text hi (my name), I texted who is this? asked if i used yahoo messanger and to message textxhick03, i said no i dont use it and then the text came sry....my Iphones about to die...what kind of scam is this ??? and how do they know your name and #....WTF

They said "hi (my name)". I asked who it was and they asked the same thing! If i used "y messenger, i'm me and my id is textiechick44." When i said idk who "me" was and that i didnt use y chat, they said their phone was gonna die. Had a lot of typos... maybe its a spam thing?

Same thing for me. They knew my name and when I asked who they were, replied with "Do you use Y! chat?!? cause im me my id is textiechick44"

Same thing..."Hey Lisa??" My husband got one from a different number (in Florida) that said "Hola Brian"

Same here! Said Hi along with my first name in a text message.  So wierd and creepy.
