I get phone calls from these jerks every day but I let it go to voice mail. I am on a do not call list I dont know how they get through but I will find a way to get them to stop. I have an unlisted number. I Will Find A Way.

They called me asking for a donation for the police dept. they call at least once or twice a year for over 15 years.

You guys are all victims of a telemarketer of a professional sales raiser having a bad day. These people are professional fundraisers.. It isn't a scam but it also isn't the greatest practice either.. They are not going to steal your ID. Make sure they're filed as a 501 C charity so you know their charity is at least real.

IF YOU FINALLY GET TO TALK TO SOMEONE AND TELL THEM TO PLACE YOU ON THEIR DNC LIST-THEY STILL CALL.

My wife received a call from this number.  She thought, at first, that he was representing the "Make-a-Wish Foundation" and when she told him that we had already given, he responded curtly that that was not what he was representing, and hung up.

Started out the new year with this annoying call from this number.  They claimed to be collecting money for burn children victims, I asked to be removed from their call list and that we couldn't give money and he hung up on me.  Totally a scam!  When I called back, it didn't ring.  It immediately went to this odd message:  "Sorry, You have dialed an unknown toll-free number."  This message (in a man's voice) was followed by a fast busy signal.

I don't know what their game is, but it can't be good.
Blocking the number w/my phone carrier.

Called three days in a row starting on 11 Dec 2011 at 12:45pm, 6:41pm, & 7:35pm, respectively.  Didn't recognize the number and sent it to voicemail each time.  No message was ever left.  After the third call, I blocked the number.

RECEIVE A MESSAGE EVERYDAY AND USUALLY WHEN WE PUT THE BABIES TO SLEEP.  THEY CALL AT NIGHT AND THEY USUALLY WAKE THE KIDS UP. VERY UPSETTING, AND THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONALS

This is harassing telemarketer. Calling regarding Illinois Police and Drunk Drivers supposedly.  When I said no thank you he was a prick and yelled at me.

Guy called, and in a clearly unprofessional manner said "Mrs. *x*?"  I said "I'm sorry, who are you looking for?", as I don't use my husband's last name. When he repeated "Mrs. x", I knew this was someone who is phishing or scamming. I said, no, this is "Tina Y", and he hung up. I blocked the caller for future, but I'd like to know what the deal is.

From Roselle, IL. They call almost every day. Many times there is nobody there when I pick it up. When I answered today, the guy said "Hey buddy", that they were for Vietnam Veterans. I'm not his buddy. I said "you guys call me every day. Stop." He said "we don't call you every day." My CID begs to differ.
Earlier today caller ID showed a call from VVA, Vietnam Veterans. Who's really for Vietnam vets? I suspect the Roselle guys are a scam.

These pests call me EVERY day. Nobody is there when I pick up and nobody there when I call it back. CID says Roselle, IL. It's an 847 number so how can it be toll free?

Same here.  Other sites also have multiple reports of hang-up calls from this same number.

The nuisance caller appears to be calling from a landline in the Chicagoland metro area -- around Schaumburg or Roselle -- in DuPage County, Illinois.  However, other sites have the location pinpointed at Hoffman Estates.
