I agree with Suze, these folks have a lot of numbers available, or change them frequently. They have been calling my number for a few weeks, I can and do block each number.  Like Suze mentioned, they refuse to give any details.  I have filed a complaint with the state attorney general and the FTC. Collection agency employees are the bottom feeders of society, too lazy or stupid to do anything else.  Many are mentally ill, social misfits that truly enjoy what they do for a living.  Most are pathological liars and have difficulty distinguishing truth from fiction that they spin day after day after day. Threatening to have someone arrested for a bad debt is a clear violation of the FTC rules and in some states constitutes a commission of a felony. Even if you owe a bill, you can send a cease and desist letter that will either stop them or make them subject to an expensive penalty. Many law firms offer this service at no charge to you. I keep blocking their various numbers and they keep using different numbers. Since this number has not been posted I thought I would add the information. They are bad... bad... bad... people. They refuse to give information, they are demanding and told me if I did not "verify" who they were talking to they would arrest me. I told them to arrest me. I had even told them to send me verification of a debt, when they asked for my address I told them to send it to the one they have listed. (Especially since I was not the person they were trying to reach, but did not believe me.) I have to say I enjoyed this conversation much more, because I refused to give them any information, as they have refused to listen to me. My suggestion do not engage! It really upsets them :)
