Have a list of over 135 unwanted calls that will be turned over to the Indiana Attorney General's Office in due time.

The calls from D Republic as all others have gone unanswered as I feel caller ID has saved me a lot of grief in the past several years.

On the list are 7 calls from this so called D Republic call center, with different numbers and none having a match.  The ending numbers from the 849 area code include (3228) (4853 4 times) (4864) (4844)

Sounds like a phone bank type of scam...  BEWARE!!!

Well, it's the National Do Not Call list, not the International Do Not call list.  Not that either one is effective anyway.  (There is no International Do Not Call list, but it works as well as the NDCL)

Got a call this afternoon. They hung up after the answering machine clicked on. No name of company showed up on caller ID

I called the FCC to report these numbers  -  They can not do anything about them just now but are working on it.   I now tell these callers, that they have been on the phone long enough and the FCC now is taking care of it  So far it's working - no return calls from these numbers

Keeps calling and when I answer, line is silent. Nobody ever speaks. My phone is on the "do not call" list, and I can't complain, because I don't know who is doing this, or what company it is.

Got call from 8499633228.  They hung up before I could pick it up, but the number was captured with the caller ID.  

Do not call this number back!  It is in the Dominican Republic, and who knows what charges could be put on your phone bill.

Just received call at 9:53 this morning.  Picked up my one phone without caller ID.  All I could hear was static so I hung up.

Got this unwanted call from 849-963-3228. No message left. Stop calling.

OK, best thing to do.  I too got a call from 849-963-3228.    First of all: DO  NOT ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOU DOI NOT RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER.   Secondly: IF you DO answer the phone then you have told their service that they have contacted a "working" number and they WILL call again, guaranteed.    Thirdly: IF they continue to call check with your phone service provider to see if you have "Call Blocking."   I do and If I continue to get calls from the same number I simply program my Call Blocking to "BLOCK" their number.   NO MORE CALLS !

About 2 weeks ago, they called here with 849-963-3224.  Since I don't answer the phone and I've got the answering machine volume turned down, I don't know if there's an incoming call unless they leave a message (or I happen to be sitting right next to the phone to see it light up) and the 3224 number did - something about diabetic supplies for seniors.  So, I blocked the number.  A couple of days ago, we got another call with this number, the 3228 one.  I have a limit on the numbers of phone numbers that the phone can block.  These people can make up infinite numbers of phone numbers to use so I don't rely upon the call blocking feature of my phone - totally - for peace of mind.

As I mentioned above, I don't answer the phone if I don't like what CID says.  And, because I've got the volume turned down, I don't hear the phone ringing or the answering machine at all and if the caller doesn't leave a message, I don't know that there was ever an incoming call.  This strategy has made things a lot quieter and more peaceful.

8-15-2012    Phone rang several times, I picked up the phone, looked to see what the number was and before I could do anything else, the connection was broken.

Caller ID showed  "D Republic Call" - glad I wasn't home to answer. What good is the National Do Not Call registry??? I've reported numerous times about other calls from scammers like "Hi, this is Rachel from Card Holder Services", but nothing ever gets done. Have to remember that the registry is a Federal entity..."we're from the government and we're here to help!" Yeah, right. Run away, far, far away!!!

These folks are bottom feeding scum suckers.  They should have their balls cut off and shoved down their throats.  You should contact your congressman and complain that these calls cannot be stopped.  Your local phone company must block these numbers without charge upon your request.

Got this call 10:12am 8/15/12.  No one on other end, get these calls all the time.  How annoying.  These idiots must not have anything better to do!

Got a call from 849-963-3228 this morning (10:21 AM, 8/15/2012) with a recorded message saying there was a new free benefit from Medicare if you have diabetes or back pain and Press 1 to say on the line or 2 to have my number removed. I pressed 2 to be removed.  A caller answered and said he was from America Senior Assistance and was calling to tell me about a new free benefit recently made available from Medicare. It was obvious that this was a scam so I played along to see how it worked.  He said Medicare will pay for diabetes and back pain and joint products and do I have either diabeties or back pain or joint pain.  I said back. He then said all I needed to do was give him my date of birth and a back brace and cushion for getting up out of chairs would arrive on my doorstep with no cost to me.  I gave him a date. He then asked me if I had the right to chose any doctors under my insurance. I said I did.  He said I needed to stay on the line and he would transfer me to US Healthcare Supply Co. in Fairfax, VA and they would ask for my phone number  only -- then send me the products. When asked for the callers name, he said it was Diego Garcia.

He then transfered me to someone who said their name was Steve that they were the US Healthcare Supply Co in Fairfax.  He asked me for information from my Medicare card.  I told him Diego Garcia said all I needed to provide was my telephone number.  He said that he has to have all of the Medicare information on the card and it would be safe with him because he would only run it through the Medicare system to establish me as a patient.  Then, I would receive by free products without any charge.  I told him I couldn't give him that information.  He tried a few more times to get me to reveal my personal information then hung up.

When talking to both of these scammers, I could hear in the background that they were in a room with many people making similar calls so it is likely to be quite a large fraud operation.

WARNING - Don't ever give personal information to someone who calls you.

I was sleeping at 7:00 a.m and they called once but I was still kinda sleeping so I didn't pick up , then they called two more times but I ignored it .

We're all DOOMED after that 1st caller got our ph #s, things have just SNOWBALLED & everyone under the sun is selling our #s til there is no end in sight! I got a call @ 9:01am today (Tues 8/14/12) from "name unavailable". I'm 80 & don't sleep well & was still sleeping when this call came in, but thankfully I didn't hear my ph.  

I have Blocking features & have all private, unknown, unavailabe etc #s blocked. I have ringers turned off phs & have my Talking CID ph at opposite end of house where bedroom is. Also my hearing is bad & I don't sleep with my hearing aids in. Never before these calls started coming in constantly (after the beginning if this year - YES shortly after the Cell phs were made public) have I NOT cursed losing my hearing. Now at times, it becomes helpful. Isn't this a shame that these kind of people are allowed to make our lives miserable? On all DNC lists, but they are the PITS! DO NOT help the public at all.

I like to know who is giving out my phone number to all these telemarketers. Stop it at the source and make it illegal to sell your phone number to these clowns.
