Have received several calls from this number.  Thank God for caller ID, but the calls need to stop.  It's being to border on harassment.

Beware these calls from the Dominican Republic as the game is to get you on the phone in order to bill you a huge amount for the call.

Got a call & hang-up too.  I just don't answer if "Unavailable" or "Unknown Name".  DNC only works if you complain to them on their website...about frequent calls from some number & then it's pretty weak.  Get scam calls & texts on my cell, too. I set the ringtone to silent.  I believe this AC is from Costa Rica.

Called today - name not available.  Answered but no one on the line.

No Caller ID, so no answer, no message. I give them 3 calls, then they go on my blocked list for 6 months. Nice advantage of BrightHouse VOIP is 30# block list with no expiration (Verizon Wireless allows 5# and 90 day expiration).  Some instruments can also block specific numbers are even area codes. Definitely report to FTC- they are doing the best they can given the advancing technology used to circumvent the DNC. Complaint Reports DO count, especially huge amounts on specific numbers...

Who are they.  I even can not block it on phone service

Called and rang twice...I did not answer and recognized the 849 area code.   Been getting other private number hang ups lately too.

Need to learn how to block these calls. They are driving me nuts.

We keep getting calls from this number.   We hang up immediately but their recording keeps going even after we hang up the phone.

Rang three times-Seeing it was from Dom Republic, I blocked them.

Received call from this number. URGENT MESSAGE for Medicare recipients with diabetes, back pain and/or obesity. Got this call SIX times today. Last time I picked up and told them if they called again, I would have my pit bull remove their testicles.....The guy stuttered and stuttered, apologized and begged me not to send anyone to his call center........LOL!

The DNC list is only followed by legitimate business and they do not call . The calls that are getting complaints are non-legitimate scammers . These callers do not have any respect for the DNC list or the law . There should be a law against ALL unsolicited calls . If a consumer wants to do business with a business  they will call the company for information . Thers enough credit card debt reduction , mortage rate reduction services , etc advertising theres no need for any of to call a consumer .

I received a call from this number this afternoon. It claims it was sent from Vietnam so, clearly, the caller is trying to avoid being found out by submitting different locations (Dominican Republic, Vietnam,  Senior Services, et al. I did not answer the phone. Rarely do, anymore.

Yeah, I got this call too, but....  Whatever you do, do NOT answer these calls - it only tells their service that they have reached a VIABLE phone service and they will continue - no matter what.   Once you answer they have your number and will also sell it to other telemarketer scums.  IF they continue then check with your phone service provider to see if you have call blocking and if so. the BLOCK THEIR NUMBER !    DO NOT CALL does not seem to be able to stop them.   I just renewed my number a month ago and they still call me.   Blocking is the way to go.

Have received numerous calls from this number, an others WITHIN the US in the past 12 months.  When the call blocker allotment from my telephone provider was used, I purchased a call blocker system from Amazon.  Best purchase I ever made.  Now these bottom feeders may ring through once, but with one touch of a button, I can ban any future calls.  The best policy is NEVER to answer a call from someone you do not know or cannot identify.

I say something like, "This is Detective Joe Simon...how do you know______?  When's the last time....HEY BILL! BE SURE TO BAG THAT KNIFE!...ok, sorry, now who did you say you were?  Yeah,,,and when was the last time you saw____?  I'm gonna need your full name, address and phone number for my investigation..."  See what happens.

Please, cut the fed DNC a little slack.  Due to FTC regs, scammers can bypass the DNC list...I think mainly by using a number for a short while, say a month, and then moving on to another.  Personally, it worked for me for quite a while.  We should report these calls to the DNC people....

My Optimum call log says this is from Vietnam. I tryed to add it to the Block call list but
it says the number is invalid.  Its valid enough to make my phone ring though. So if they
continue to call im not sure what i can do about it.

Someone noted that we are paying for a phone we can't answer. I wonder if the phone company would pressure the govt to do something if we all got rid of our landlines and just used cell phones.  They may have more power than we do since the do not call registry is worthless.
