Caller claimed they were with Chase Bank offering to lower Credit Card rates for customers who had at least a $3500.00 balance on their Credit Card. I refused to give out personal info and the Caller kept reading me scripted lines until I finally hung up. About an hour later the Caller called my home and left a rather ugly message on my Voice Mail. The Caller sounded like he was from the Middle East (very heavy accent.) The Caller said that it wasn't nice for me to hang up on his face and it wasn't good for me or for American Citizens to treat people this way. He said he was very angry and that I need to read on the Internet or read a book on how to treat people. The call ended by him saying that my account would be closed in 2 minutes and 5 seconds max. I called Chase and reported the call and gave them the number the Caller called from the first time and the number the Voice Mail came from.

Got a call from 850.387.0474 (425.6459767 before that).

Went along with them, making up credit card numbers.  They pretend to know your info, and are just 'verifying'.    Everyone should know that ALL Visa Cards begin w/ a 4 (Mastercard w/ a 5).

I gave her a fake card number, expiration date, and name.  Then, I blew up, calling her every name in the book.  Got a call back from the 'supervisor' next.  Told him I would push his dot into his brain.  Idiots.

NEVER give information to people over the phone.  The info that they have is probably available for sale or out of a phone book.

Just got a call from this number.  I stupidly gave them only the middle 8 of my credit card, expiration date, and zip code of mailing address because she claimed she was from citibank and could lower my interest rate for making payments on time.  BUT THEN...she said she could help me with my Chase card, too.  That's when I got suspicious and hung up.  She called back and when she did I put this number into google and that's when I found this thread.  I YELLED at her and told her she was a liar and that I didn't appreciate her trying to take advantage of innocent people.  I demanded she tell me how she knew some of my information and she buckled and hung up on me.  I IMMEDIATELY called citibank and canceled my card.  I think I scared her a little.  I'm also pregnant and I don't need this sort of crap right now.

Also when I called citibank they said they would NEVER EVER call and ask ME for information if they were calling me.  Which makes sense.  You live and learn.

This is great! I will do this and pass it on to everyone I know. These people are scumbags. I was harrassed by people at both numbers. They claim to be working for Financial Consulting Services but the phones are traced to XO Florida, Inc. They had all of my credit card information and were SO rude when I refused give out any more information. I was called a loser for having credit card debt, that I needed to get my head out of my a**, and that they would report my credit card to a collection company for not paying them their "service fee". My credit card company said that this is a scam so I cancelled all accounts and called local authorities to file a report. I also filed a report with the fcc and my states attorney general. If this truely is a legit company they need to be shut down, but I truely believe it's a total SCAM!!!

WOW! This number called me, it was a recording and then when I picked up, there was a man with a Haitan accent on the phone. I asked him to be removed immediately. He repeated "immediately"? I said yes immediately, he then repeated "immediately"? As he was making fun, I said please take me off of your list right now, he said oh I thought you said immediately and then laughed, I asked for a supervisor and he said he was the supervisor, I asked again to be removed and to stop calling, he laughed and I hung up on him.
He then called me back from this number and called me a son of a bi*** and then the P word. Nice way to speak to a woman. He had a very thick Haitan accent, I hung up and called back and filed a complaint. The girl I spoke to was apologetic and took down the report. She told me the company is called Financial Consulting Services and they were in Orlando. I am 8 months pregnant, and I don't need this harassment!

first called under "credit services" and pretended to be my credit card company offering to lower my percentage point.  Told to remove my number and not call back.  He called back under this number and rudely said he would call every day.  Foreign sounding voice, vague when I questioned him which card company he was calling under.  Do not give info to this scumbag!  Am reporting to legal authorities!

Everyone should make multiple calls to this number to fight back - 850-387-0474.  During most of the day you'll likely run into a message machine - wait for the beep and then go do your dishes or play your radio down the line.  If, you actually get a person - just don't talk.  If you are so inclined do this several times.  Eventually, you will get another call from them at a different number (561-287-4305) in my case, the person will likely ask if  you are trying to reach them.  I said, I was tired of receiving their calls and that I was going to keep calling them.  We can win this war if we fight them on our terms.

I have also posted this number on Facebook and have asked all my friends to do the same.  I welcome them trying to file action against me.

My elderly mother received a telephone call from 850-387-0474, promising to reduce her interest rates on credit cards and asked her for her credit card number(s)----A family member immediately stopped my mother from releasing further information, however not knowing how much info had been released we contacted her credit card company(ies) to alert them of possibly phishing----The credit card company blocked all usage of her card(s) and are in the process of issuing new credit cards.    Advising those that may have elderly parent(s), whose judgement may be impaired due to age or illness, please take credit cards/billing statements or any other info that has account numbers away and place in a safe place for proper use.  We can't let these scam artist use our elderly family members in this manner!!!!!

Got a call from 909-650-9121 wanting to lower my credit card interest rates. She told me my credit card balance and wanted my credit card number "beginning with 4". I tild her I wasn't comfortable giving my vcredit card number over the phone. She said "This is only for verification", and when I refused again, she got a little nasty so I hung up.  A minute later I got a call from the number above, saying she was the precious woman's supervisor and said she heard I was disconnected. I told her, "No, I hung up." And then said I looked up the 909 number and it's been reported as fraud, and then hung up on this person from 850-387-0474. She called back, but I didn't answer.

Received an initial call from 909-650-9121 stating reduce my card interest rate because of good payment history.  Said from Caitpol One, Bank of American and Chase.  They had name, address, and credit card numbers.  At first I was agreeable because they has all of my information.  I received the confirmation call from  the above number and was told going to charge me $900 to reduce my interest rate.  When I said no this was a scam.  The guy got rude and hung up on me.  I immediately canceled my account numbers and notified my credit card companies for fraudulent charges.

Got a call from Credit Services (909-650-9121)informing me because I paid my bills on time I qualified for a lower interest rate, Said they were working on behalf of Chase and Bank of American and that I would get a call within an hour offering the specific rate.  When I asked repeatedly they said avoided answering the questioned. I called Chase and they informed me it was a scam, they don't hire outside companies to call clients an offer reduced rates, they cancelled my cards to avoid fraud on my account.  I just had a call from 1-850-387-0474 and didn't answer

Got a call from 850-387-0474. At first we went through a series of questions on how to lower my credit card interest rates. Then called my credit card companies together then they suggested an interest rate. Then I was told it would cost $900. We had to make one more call to my credit card companies. In the mean time I decided I wasn't comfortable with the whole thing and mentioned it to the caller. They became very irritated and had to transfer me to someone else who was equally as angry. I eventually hung up. I called both my credit card companies and put securities into place to keep them from harming my accounts. An hour later I got another call from a collection agency telling me they will get the $1200. - an amount I'm not sure where they came up with. I asked for his name and number and company name. He became very angry and threatened to come to my house. He said I wouldn't want to meet him or his friends. I let out a small laugh and he threatened to kick my @ss. He then said he would come to my house and take my bed (I thought that was odd) Then I hung up and called the police. The police said they'd fill out a report and keep it on file. I'm not sure what that would do.

By the way most credit card companies will change your account number leaving everything else in tact. They can also add a verbal password to your account.

Good Luck

I too looked into the follow up call and the young man on the phone started overtalking me when I said I would not put $900 on my card to save $2000 because it would be paid off in a year anyway.

He started threatening me for being rude and was going to raise my interest rate to 29.9% I called Bank American and cancelled my card getting a new one. How do I report this and to whom.

Shakin.

This is fraud. They called and claimed they could reduce the interest rate on a credit card for a one time $800 fee, claiming they work for a company to save people from the bank gouging. After declining they said they worked for the bank and would charge the $800 anyways in addition to raising the credit card rate. (already had credit info they said but probably a bluff)Citibank confirmed this is a known fraud there looking into. If you recieve a call and they have your info report them to your bank and cancel card...you may want to report to Federal authorities to further thier investigation as well.
