Received this email scam - unusual request so we checked him out

John Johnson at John & CO. just called me to purchase over $6,000 in our matting. Sounded like a scam so I googled the number and found this. He also asked me if I would accept a credit card and same things as listed on this site. Very bad connection and he was getting mad that I couldn't understand him. Got his email as TM234909@aol.com - Phone number 850-388-8766.

Just got off the phone with this guy.  Hard to understand asked for 5000 of one item and I told him we didn't have them.  Then he moved on to another random item that was not even close to the first item. I told him we didn't have that many and he had asked how long it would take. I then told him I'd have to call manufacturer to find out.  He then gave me an email and phone number and had me repeat it back to him.

This guy called me as well. john Johnson, it screamed scam. I believe they are using stolen credit cards for a quick transaction. See below.

Well John Johnson has struck again! Got the same email that everyone is posting along with a picture of my product. So glad I am a nosy person and looked up his address and phone # after talking to him. I will not be responding to his email. What is wrong with people?

He also contacted me as Edward. I was suspicious because he said he would pick up the merchandise though he had no idea where it was. I let it play out and then he sent me an email saying he was in Germany and could I arrange for shipping and charge it to him. At that point I knew he was a scammer. I think the first email was a qualifier and the second email was from their calling center (if you can call it that). I think I will continue so that when he gives me the cc number, I can report it as stolen.

Just got an email wanting equipment. I wrote that we don't accept credit cards but he insisted. I told him that we wouldn't be interested.

The parasite is still at it.  Same poorly worded email.  Even copied a picture of the product he wanted from my website.  Same large, easy sale.  I wanted to call first to check it out and just got off the phone with him.  Same scratchy connection.  Wanted me to email him back right away.  I thought something didn't add up so I did an internet search.  So glad I did!  Thank you everyone above for the heads-up!!

YEP JOHN JOHNSON IS FULL ON SCAMER  TRIED TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR 6300.00 AND WAS VERY PERSISTENT ON WHAT HE NEEDED AND DID NOT WANT ANY OTHER FRT COMPANY BUT worldwideglobalshipping@gmail.com EVEN AFTER I SAID I COULD SAVE HIM OVER A 1000.00 IN FRT TO USE SOMEONE ELSE.NEED TO SMOKE OUT THIS LITTLE RAT B*****D AND MAKE AN EXAMPLE OUT OF HIM AND ANYONE ELSE THAT WORKS FOR HIM.
I JUST LOST A LITTLE TIME AND EFFORT DOING LEG WORK BUT OTHERS MAY HAVE NOT BEEN AS LUCKY.

Just got back from a trade show demonstrating this product he wanted 3 bill changers about $7,000
Said he would arrange pick up from the factory. Again cc for payment which isn't unusual. But I am glad I checked.Sales just don't come that easy.

Small Cherry Wood Award  Plaque -  is a scam so dont do anything with them

Called first-bad reception and unknown number, said he would email me, then called back, email was in spam folder, insisted a freight company would pick up the product. Ended up being creepy and complimenting my voice and name. Heres part of the email.

Same as above posts. Glad I checked here first. As stated above, this call screamed SCAM.

Same reply as everybody else.  Called and was hard to understand.  Wanted to place an
order for the most expensive items we supply and did not care what the price was.  Only concern was if he could use a credit card. Reception on phone was very poor. Would love to meet this scammer in person and tune him up myself.

"John Johnson" with the address below also requested a large amount of product and wanted to pay by credit card. The address shows up as a Pro Bass Fishing Guide service!  Phone number doesn't match either.  STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMER!

"John Johnson" called, foreign sounding, bad connection on every call.

Wanted to purchase a large quantity of product ~$7000.  Wasn't concerned about how long it would take to ship.  Was very insistent that he wanted to have his accountant pay by credit card today.  Wanted me to contact his preferred shipping company worldwideglobalshipping@gmail.com for charges and copy him on the email.

Screamed scam and sure enough, easy to find.  Was also using 850-588-9633.  See the notes there for a nearly word for word copy of the email he sent us.
