I just recieved a call from the scam also, man that really pisses me off. I juthad my baby and they are trying to scam me at my most vunerable state!

Back taxes relief scam. Don't answer them! It's really annoying how they keep calling even after I try to put my number on a n o call list or if it says something like, " press # to be removed from our calling list" did that too and it never worked.

Just got a call

We have been having sleepless nights as really thought we had a big problem with IRS as had filed for an extention. The frightening part was how much information these scammers had regarding my husband - including calling at home and on our cells, plus all of our financials!  We have also found out that this is actually being routed from overseas and then connected to the 850 numbers.  Thank you for all your blogs as has finally put our minds at rest.

This number calls regularly offering financial relief, and of course does not accept incoming calls for people to tell them to stop. More annoying -- the message is starting to sound more and more like a robo-call campaign plug for the sitting president... Are our tax dollars being wasted on this, is it a scam, or is it truly just really bad choice in advertising?! More than annoying!

Get a call from this number everyday and don't answer.  Something about tax debt.  Do not answer.  Anyone know how to block the number??

Second time receiving a call.  I did not answer and they did not leve a message.

The name of the company is Tax Renegotiation Center. A Google search turned up nothing. The number is disconnected on call back. DO NOT press 7 to be removed from the list. This lets the scammers know that this is a valid number and they will continue to call you and send your phone number out to all the other telemarketing companies. No use on staying on the line waiting to speak to an operator. They want you to call them back.

The Do Not Call Registry is nothing more than a pacifier to the public. The FTC is not going to go after the telemarketing companies. Due to budget cuts, they no longer have the manpower or resources to manage the millions of complaints that consumers file on a daily basis. The same goes for your local law enforcement agencies. They are tapped and only concentrate on high profile cases and won't waste their time on annoying phone calls.

Your best bet is to save the number in your contact list, tag it as a "Sales Call" and don't answer when they call you. I am probably up 45 numbers in my contact list for telemarketers.

Bogus "back taxes" telemarketing

Message was about cutting IRS debt which does not exist.  I called back and the # was not in service.  How is this allowed?

Recording claimed I had back tax debt. Do not answer. Robot call.

At least once a week, even though my business number is on the national do not call list... from "Sara" re: re-negotiation back taxes. I have pressed the "do not contact" number at the end of the call each time. No luck. VERY annoying, especially since they are calling my business number!

I got a call from this number and before the telemarketer could finish her script the call dropped.  I called it back and got a recording saying it was disconnected.  I did some research and found a script belonging to a Pioneer Credit Services:

Yes, a recording claimed that I owed the IRS a lot of money and they could help! Interesting, since I got a $2,000 refund last year. Talk about a cold call! This one is about absolute zero.
