Called at 11.52am. No message, rang back, answered immediately but no human on line. Said to be US GOVT NAVYPE.
When will it become illegal to use US / USA/ Govt. etc to sell rubbish?

I completely agree. I was really hoping for once that the government would want to help us out. I just laid off three more employees and if I dont get some sort of grant I know we will have to fold sooner then later. If you ever figure out what the call was really regarding please keep us all posted!

said the were buy for me to leave my name and number and they would call back

It was a strange recording regarding my city and my work. I did not belive it and have pressed the option 9 to have my business name to be removed. I called that number back, just got busy signals.

Sounds important, but probably a scam.
Since the US Government doesn't typically call my office (except during elections!) to tell me about a new grant fund for "Martinez, CA," I suspect that this is some fantastic "tell us how much money we can give you" scheme.
Sure would be nice if the government did really want to help the little business guy.

Got a call from them saying there was federal grant money available to our company. It was an automated call that had "fill in the blank" places that had our company and city dubbed in. It seemed too cheesy and blatant for it to be a scam, so I pressed "1" for more info. I was then connected to a high pitched tone, the kind you hear from those radio emergency tests.

This # called my office; did not leave a message. When I returned the call it would ring once and
not pick up. The line would stay active for 40 more seconds before disconnecting. The call came from Northern Fla.
