This number calls every damn day. I spoke with one of the agents. They are calling themselves "Card Members Services" from Washington, DC Zip 63024.

The guy answered "thank you for calling Card Services". I told him you guy's called me and do every day. He replied I am tired of people not wanting to reduce their credit card rates. Then I asked him for the company name and address. He would only give me the information you see I have posted. I ask for the address again and he hungup on me.

I bet this is a scam, don't tell them anything!!

These people have called me twice. Each time I press 1.  On the first call when they asked who I was.  I said, "you should know the answer to that since you called me."  I pressed to find out what credit card company he was representing and he hung up on me.  The second call, just this afternoon, after I presed 1 a man answered, and I said, "I would like you to remove my phone number from your data base so that you stop calling me."  He said "Sure thing Baby Doll."  As I responded, "Baby Doll?"  He hung up on me.  I tried to call back, but got the "disconnected" response from a recording.  This is very irritating.

I got a call from this number today and when I answered the phone, the caller hung up without saying a word. When I tired to call the number back I got a recording saying that the number was no longer in service.

I got a call from this number this morning. When I pressed 1, a woman came on and asked if I had pressed 1 to lower my interest rates. I said, "Actually, I don't know which card this is about." She promptly hung up on me.

Got the call - recording about last chance to lower credit card rate - pressed 1 - male responder asked me if I had pressed 1 - I said that I wanted to know who he was and why he was calling me. Male voice in the background was saying "work the call, work the call" ... the guy chose to hang up on me instead.

Who do we contact about this? It's obviously a fraud, and unsuspecting / naive seniors or others are at risk of being ripped off. How can we stop this?

Answered for this call. It was a recording saying today was the last chance to reduce the interest rate on my account. It did not give any further information as to what account or the company they were with. On call back, there was a recording saying the number has been disconnected. Probably gonna regret answering this one...

I got the same call again today. It seems to be a recording waiting for you to say something when you answer. As soon as you answer, boooom the recording starts about the 'last chance to reduce....' .. I pressed "1" to check who they are representing, very quickly I got a male voice at the other end when I pressed him to tell me who he is representing he said "card services".. I asked again.. from whom? and he disconnected. This is getting on my nerves right now.

-A Very very mad man right now.

These guys appear to be loan spammers. If you deal with a financial institution that sells your info, these guys get your number as a "partner" business.

Same thing, a message telling me this is my lasty chance to reduce my rate, after I pressed1, a male came to the phone saying he was from card services, and wanted personal information, he told me to  look at the back of my card to verify that card services exist (what an AH.) After I told him he had to be more specific about what company he represents, he told me I was wasting his time and hung up on me.  LOL.

I just got yet another call from this number and pressed 1 to see what would happen.  I got a female voice who asked me did I mean to press 1 to lower my interest rates.  I said, "no I actually pressed 1 to tell you people to stop calling me".  She then hung up.  LOL.
This should be stopped!

Upon answering a call from this number, a recording stated it's my last chance to lower my card interest rate.  Having serveral CCs carrying NO balance and not needing to lower any interest rate, but being perturbed by these kinds of calls, I pressed 1.  A mail voice answered. I asked, "What kind of scam is this and who's calling?"  His answer was that he would tell me if I was nice to him.  I said nothing more and he hung up.  This obviously IS a scam.

These calls always come from spoofed numbers; that is, the real phone number has been concealed in caller ID with a fake number.

Being on the Do Not Call Registry doesn't help.  Asking the person you speak with to be put on their Do Not Call list doesn't help.  They just hang up on you.

These calls invariably originate overseas and the FCC is powerless to do anything to stop them, because of the spoofed numbers.  You can't make a report to the FCC if you don't have the company's correct name and phone number.

Just don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the number.

Ooops--two fast on the paws. . .

Got yet another call on my OFFICE phone from this one. Company computing security sez they can't do anything, we have VOIP phones and it's impossible to filter any of them. So I just ignore suspected auto-dials. The old method of hitting buttons to make them go away doesn't work anymore, not that I know of, but I wish I could find a way to combat it.

On the other hand, these are about the only companies that seem to be employing *Americans* anymore, so maybe we shouldn't be too hard on them.
