caller ID says "Florida"...   they left no message

Call is from Tallahassee,Fl.Soliciting for some law enforcement agency

They call and never answer.  They are not honoring the NO call list.   When calling the number back there is no answer.

This and other 800 callers frequently call, asking for Mr. _ _ (man of the house), to see if he's home I'm sure. They just say they'll call back. They always call around 10:30am, but from different #s.

"sal" is mistaken, because the submitter on 800notes ("srqplc") is also mistaken.  The number srqplc looked up was 850-6 SIX 8-9061, not the actual 850-6 EIGHT 8-9061.

I answered the call, but only got a sound like someone sighing, then just background noise.  So I said, have a nice day and hung up.  No idea who called, but it appears from other sites it's a charity.

Poorly trained callers, if so.  Or at least too weary from getting hung up on to do more than sigh expecting yet another.  Which is what they got anyway.

4/11/2011 -- Received what appearded to be a robo call, telling me to prevent scams by reporting violations of "do not call list." Makes no sense. Traced as far as I could, it originated in Leon, Florida, on a landline carrier: Intermedia Communications, Inc.

called and left no message.

Caller asked for me by name, identified himself as calling from Community Outreach and seeking donations for killed and injured police officers. Caller ID was FLORIDA.

I blocked out my number and then called their number.   Lady picked up and said they make calls for   Kids Wish Network.   I asked why they just hung up and did not leave a msg.   They said they were not allowed to.   Go figure.

850-688-9061 is TIME WARNER TELECOM (FLORIDA)

do not call does not work for non-profit organizations.

They are buying your number from a service do to probably you having given to another charity organization. However, they are not to blindly use and make sure you are not on the donotcall list.

My call was the same as above. Answer the phone, and then a hangup.

No answer from 850-688-9061.  I wish they would get a life...

I just let it go to the answering machine..don't even pick up..they are trying to get you for any connection, then they are justified to call again and again...

On another site called 800 notes that is similar to this one. It says that this phone number is registered to Glen H Paul 3404 West grove Tallahassee, FL 32312 and when you google that adress it shows a private residence with one police car in the driveway. Not saying anything but it seems weird that a charity like that would take place in someones house. Heres the link to street view of that adress. We have gotten hang-up calls from these people as well.  The caller ID says - FLORIDA.   I finally called the number and they said they were "Community Outreach."  I told them I wanted my number removed from their list.  They said it would take 30 days.  I hope that helps.

Call my house twice today - picked it up 2nd time, but no one  - just silence and they hung up on me.  they left no message the first time.

It is the Florida Police Benevolent Association - http://www.flpba.org/. Just call the number back and ask to have you phone number removed from their list.

Someone called my house from this number and hung up when my machine picked up. I called the number back and they said they were a community outreach charity. I asked for them to take my number off their list, they took my number down and said it would be put on the list for removal. We'll see if they call again.

My Dad keeps getting repeated calls from 850-688-9061 & as the others, each call ends with an immediate hangup.
