any Law Enforcement calling for donations is not who you think they are.  They are legal BUT they are not volunteers or Officers.  They are paid employee's located in a different state.   A very small percentage does go to a law enforcement office...that is how they make themselves legit.....but prob. not in your area and not to the officers.   It is a Profit organization and they skim under the wire of scammers and are legal.    NO actual Law Enforcement Officer will ever call you for donations of money.   They have local Fund Raiser events in the towns they live in and in person.  Never never on a cold call .  DO NOT donate to anyone calling for Money no matter who they represent.   If you still feel the the State Trooper call's are legit, then you need to investigate more.  They call you twice a year because you give them money and they have you on a list to call again . and will continue to call you as long as you send them money.

Absolutely a SCAM. Spend your $40 a year anyway you want Donnie but this outfit is def. a scam. Call the Florida State Troopers office and check it out. I spent six years tracking them down,got into a heated argument with one of their "workers" and another one with some office manager. This is a call center that calls people for a lot of different things but they use "home based" callers,hence the magic jack call back announcement and fake number.Main office is in Lake Worth, Florida---in a little strip shopping center.

They have called several times. Just now at 9pm est. My husband answered they hung up on him.

This is not a scam. I get calls from them twice a year and typically I offer a 20 dollar donation. They mail the form to complete and send a donation with. I get in return a sticker that shows I'm a supporter of florida state troopers. As a matter of fact I got a call tonight and didn't answer because I don't normally answer calls I don't recognize which is how I reached this forum. They were calling to confirm that I received my mailer and complimentary sticker which I placed on my truck last week when I received it in the mail. I have been supporter for about three years. Been pulled over by state trooper and got out of ticket because of it.

I got a call from this number 8507250701 and they asked for my first name but when I asked who was calling the gentleman on the line said wrong answer and hung up the phone. When i called the number back it say's magic jack and you cannot leave a message. Now that I have read this forum I feel better because I got nervous what this person might have wanted from me. Now I know his intentions was to only scam me. I have donated to the police and fire before and will do it again but now with scam artists. They need to get better jobs.

I am getting calls everyday from different numbers all over the state claiming to be the Florida State Troopers Association wanting to collect a donation.

Claims to be from Florida State Troopers Association and is asking for donations.  It's a scam.  Call back number says it is a magic jack customer.  Solicitor was rude and cursed at me on the phone when I asked him to remove my number from his list.

Received a call from this number at 8:04 PM on 5/31/12.  I was not home to answer it.

Claims to be State Trooper dept, ask for money.  Do not give anything, law offices will never call and ask for money according to Lee County Sheriffs office fraud dept.

Keep getting calls from this number. I call back and it's a Magicjack number. Unable to leave message with them. Getting to be very annoying.
