I just got a very rude phone call from 850-725-0701, Florida state trooper assoc or something similar.  The man that called interupted me while I was on an important phone call and I kept trying to tell him to call me back.  However, the jerk was rude and told me that I kept interrupting him.  I will never contribute now.

Received a call from 1-850-725-8843.  When I answered the phone they hung up.  I called the number back and got a voice mail to donate money to the State Troopers of Florida.

He said his name was David with community service raising money for the state troopers, when I asked him David who? because I wanted to look it up on the internet, he hung up.

Recieved call from this number 850-725-8843. They called twice hung when answered and when I called back got a canned voice mail and they they hung up on me the next time I tried. In searchng info, can't find any regarding this number. Something needs to be done. Pensacola Florida

Florida State Troopers donations scam. These are not police making the calls. They are scammers who stay within the gray areas of the law by giving a small percentage to the police or, more likely, a police organization with no public relations interest, like the prison guards' union.

Called at 8:55pm on 5/29/09. I let the machine get it and they just hung up.

Just received a call from the very same 850-725-8843 number. Very intimidating, harassing call. I've been receiving them for about a year. Who do we report this too? I called the number back and the message is it is the office of FAST. What to do? Does the state attorney handle complaints like this?

Just got a call from this number.  Gentleman on the phone stated he was from Florida State Troopers Assoc.
He was more pleasant than the last caller I had from 9545012868.
Told both men to take me off of their list and not to call.

Called but left no message.

These people are just doing their jobs, listening to some very bad verbal assaults, for the new guy, and its just a natural progression for more aggressive maneuvers, there just trying to collect money from a non-profit, and not trying to scam anyone.  Every one should have customers like they do.

I received a phone call on 7/29/09 at 1:54 pm.  I didn't answer the phone in time so the answering machine picked up. They didn't leave a message.  I know someone in Pennsecola and I went ahead to answer.  Normally, I don't if I don't recognize the number.  I was glad that I missed the call.

I received a phone call with the same number 1-850-725-8843 at 1:54 pm on 7/29/09  They didn't leave a message.  It was from Pennsicola Florida.  I didn't try and call the number back.  I didn't answer the phone in time for the person to answer.  I usually do not answer the phone if I do not recognize the number, but I do know someone in Pennsicola so I did attempt to answer the phone.  Now I am glad that I missed.

Received a call on 7/29 at 1:40 pm edt. It was a fast talking person who was soliciting for the Florida State Troopers.   I agreed to a donation and he asked if I wanted to pay using a credit card right now.   Of course I said no and we were suddenly disconnected.   Then I got another call back from 954-333-8592 and it was the same person saying that he wasn't finished.  I listened for a few minutes and someone came on to "verify" my pledge.  When he said "thanks sweetie" it all started to sound funny so I started this search and found these comments.  As I wrote these comments I got another call from the 850-725-8843 number and was disconnected right after he said my first name.  Sure seems like a scam to me.

850-725-8843 Called at 1:20pm on 7/22/09. I didn't answer the phone and they didn't leave a message. Saw on caller id that it came from Pensacola, Fl and when i called the number back all I got was a voicemail box but the box was full so couldn't leave a message telling them to stop calling here. They've called five times this month alone must be getting desperate. I guess not even the national do not call registry doesn't stop these people.

This number called at 7:22pm on 6/12/09 while feeding grandson.  Tried to call back--nothing but dead air.  Have had calls from this number before, do not leave message and do not pick up when I try to call back.  Am on the do not call register and want them to stop.

Florida Association State Troopers Telemartketing Call.  I received dead air after the call, so I called back. The answering machine message states that is belongs to the Florida Association State Troopers.

My Sheriff's Department is very adamant about these types of calls not being tolerated.  They actually put out a book themselves and asked people to call them if there was any problems with telemarketing harassment.  

Here is the address and website so you can call and write the association that these telemarketers are representing. There is a complaint email set up specifically for fudnraising telemarketing at dmedcalf@fastinc.org  This should tell you that they are aware of problems with these techniques and should discontinue them immediately.

Scam about giving money to the Florida State Troopers. All calls claiming to be collecting money for police (or police widows, orphaned children, etc.) are scams. These are scammers, not police, calling, and they stay within the gray areas of the law by giving a small fraction of their proceeds to the police.

I've strung these guys along in the past, but it's not worth it. Just hung up.

Called recieved this evening however I did not answer since I did not know the number. Caller id the number from Penscola area. No message left when I called the number back from different number a voice recorder came on. Just as they did not leave a message neither did I.
