852 is the Country Code for Hong Kong. There is no 852 Area Code in North America according to Wikipedia. I received a call on a just acquired phone number while I was on vacation. Phone was at home so saw this on the display when I got back. Obviously they're using a computer to generate every phone number combination possible.

Got this number and 202 407 3261 a few seconds before it. Missed both calls at 9:09 am this morn. ( I'm in Vancouver)
I googled the 202 number and seems they are both the "cruise" scam.

Just got a call at 12:50pm while I am at work. Not cool. Definitely looks like a scam while they rack up your minutes and charges. Luckily on an android I can add them to my reject list.

Just received a call from 852-645-21820, and 2 seconds later 202-407-3261. I'm with Rogers as well and these calls started up I noticed after entering into draws with Shopper's Drug Mart, by entering a code online. It was to win a trip. This happened before and I think they are sharing our information when we sign up online with each "promotion" they have.

That number has been calling me in Ottawa daily for quite a while. They call me when it costs me money to answer. I'm going to have to see if Bell will block the number. I do not understand why their is an additional zero.
If I could get them to talk to me, I'd spend a few minutes saying very unsavoury things to them. Or else I'd put them on hold for a while.... that's always fun.
There needs to be a way to deal with these instituted b the phone company.

I had the same thing as Ianholm, extra 0 on the end, but it sounds the same. These are not Canadian calls, so our DNC list doesn't apply as far as I can tell. I tried to get on the US DNC list but they wouldn't accept a Canadian area code.

I've received two calls from this number one on March 16th at 10:06am and then one today March 20th at 4:13pm. I never answer. The number shows up as 852-645-21820.

I too received a call from this number at 8:30 this am. I did not answer and even though they stayed on the line long enough to trigger the voice mail, they did not leave a message.
A weird thing though - the number showed up on my caller id as: 852-645-21820 - what is with the extra "0"? Anyone know?

message this morning. didn't hear my phone ring so didn't answer but it woke my wife. There's got to be a way to block these unwanted calls. I thought Canada had a "DO NOT CALL" list.

Got one in Thunder Bay. Didn't answer it. But there has been another number , based in Texas, that I keep getting calls from too. I looked that one up. It was apparently a scam like this one seems to be. ...People trying to get your personal info by offering cruises and stuff... or they laugh and hang up on you. Seems to be a lot of this going around. Wtf?
