I politely ask the caller on the 2" tape deals if they would like the opportunity to hang up before I do!

Received same type of call as the previous posts asking for me by name. My personnel sent the call to my VM and again same msg as all the others. They asked my personnel for my cell number but I have a standing order that is not to be given out.

Ah, the plot thickens!

RCS, phone number of 936-309-0018 on caller ID, is an annoying safety supply mail order catalog company.

Here's what Is happening, I think.  To try to get you to buy their s*** and/or confirm your address, they offer you free gifts.  I think the robo calls are when they flag you as accepting a catalog and free gift / promotional items.

Same as above ... a guy called in to get through the switchboard and on my voicemail was good ol' Amy Simpson wanting me to call her at 855-209-1411 to release my pacakage.  I'm near St. Louis & caller ID didn't show where call was from.

Same person Amy Simpson, same call 855-209-1411.  I think it's a scam.  Not calling back after reading other's input.

Hmmm.  Interesting.  A further test call:
"Thank you for calling RCS Sports division, how may I help you?"

How many freaking companies is this one scam line answering for?

Not a very professional scam company.  Called them back a few times, response ranged from:
"Thank you for calling ITC, this is [insert do***ebag name], how can I help you?"
to
"Hello?"

Another call from them.  Caller ID showed up as 936-309-0018, one digit off from the first scam call.  Google shows that number to belong to a florist in Waller, Texas (10ish miles west of my office).

Also heavily involved in purchasing for my company.  I think someone is compiling a list of company purchasing agents to pull a scam / make targeted rip off sales.

Had the same call, however they used a 415-223-0404 as the caller ID and left the same message to call back and gave the 855-209-1411. When I called them back I got a real person breathing hard and used the company name of ITX, defiantly a scam call.  Sounds like a large call center with people trying to get credit card info from the gullible.

Received a VM from Amy Simpson regarding a "priority overnight" package.  Since no shipping company that I deal with leaves such as message without an AWB or shipper information, I am not returning the call.

Called my office as well. Not sure if they asked for me by name as I take care of the majority of purchasing in my plant but I'm not titled as a purchaser. Amy Simpson called me as well. I think I'll give her a call and threaten legal action.

Seems they are finding a way of routing calls from numbers local to their targets. I'm in the Metro-Detroit area and my message from Amy Simpson originated from 586-231-3822. I might go ahead and call and see how long I can keep one of their agents on the line before they hang up on me!

I received a smiliar voice mail message May 7, 2013, 9:14AM, sounded like a real person:

Caller ID showed the call was from 913-730-5497.
Amy Simpson with BOS Sports Promotion Department:
Priority overnight package, call back so that they can release my package via toll free 855-209-1411.

While it sounds so real, I am not going to call her back.  I am expecting no new package from anyone...

I am in Fort Worth, TX, work for a large corporation, not sure which number they called on (main number,  DID, 800, etc.)

I'm a bit genuinely curious how this scam is even working.  Caller ID showed it was coming from nearby town of Waller.  The caller was a man.  Why switch to a robomessage on my voicemail?  Is that their plan?  Have a real person talk to a secretary and then autoswitch to robomessage when you get to the targeted person?

Tempted to call one of the numbers back.  Given that they called our office line and asked for me, I'm thinking this is either some sort of magazine/subscription scam and they're wanting to confirm my address / get me on tape saying "yes" do authorize dubious billing, maybe.

Prank Call
Man named "Chris" called, asked for me by name, secretary put him through to my voice mail.  Message sounded like a robocall, "Amy Simpson with Sports Promotion" calling to release my overnight package.

Caller ID showed the call coming from 936-309-0014, a landline in Waller, TX (just west of here).

Other recipients of this call; you guys in the Houston metro area?
