I got a call from some man named Victor Royce he actually left a message with my employer stating there was a complaint pending in Contra Costa County left a case number. I called the number back was told the company is FS group and that I owed $1200 to settle a $300 payday loan taken out with some company named Anasazi group. When I stated I knew nothing about it and requested that they send me information to support this they stated they did not have to as it is a pending legal matter, but if I agreed to settle out of court for $600 they would email me a letter once paid that I no longer owed money. They also called and left the same message on my home phone, and brothers phone. The person I spoke with at the above number was Fred Grover and he stated Victor Royce is a so called skip tracer and can leave that info as it is public record- I have reported them to my attorney general as they violated the Fair Debt Act. They also refused to give me an address so I could send cease and assist letters. I have taken payday loans out in the past so not sure if this is an old one or not, but will not pay something without proof.

A man by the name of Moses Smith says he is with Multnomah County District Court and wants  a man named David Star to call 855-210-0470 and the reference number is 207375OR for complaints about David Star.

It was official but I hate to call back when I don't know if it is a scam.
