Exact same thing today, June 20, 2014. Same number.  He said he was from "I Tech Technologies" so I guess they are starting up again with a different name!  Sounded foreign, not sure about him being Indian.  The last time they called, a couple of months ago, they claimed to be Microsoft technicians (as someone said below) and my husband managed to make him admit he was calling from Afghanistan!  Unbelievable.

Scam call. Mine came in today at about 7:00 PM. Claims to be contacting me because of error reports from my computer saying I've god some bad virus that needs to be corrected.
From what I have found, it's a scam that has been continuing for some time now.

He just called me five minutes ago! He claimed to be from Microsoft and that he's been receiving error messages. I just stayed in silence and he thought it cut off. It's strange how he didnt call back. Damn scammers.

Just got a call from the same as all the above. He started in on his spiel about being with Microsoft and errors from my computer. . . . . I cut him off and told him my calls went through my computer and it showed that his computer has a virus that I could fix if he would let me connect to it.   LOOOOONNNGGGGG Pause.

Received a call from this number three days in a row last week.  I listened one time and a heavy dialect asked for me by name (I am listed in the phone book, so my name is not hard to find) and proceeded to tell me that my computer was infected and they needed to clear it up.   No calls Sunday - Tuesday.   Phone call this morning from this number and I thought I might string them along.   I answered but nobody said anything.   So, I laid the phone down.  The call disconnected after about 4 minutes.

called these guys, spoke to a ricky sylvester,  they tried relentlessly to get me to go to ammyy.com, support.me and showmypc.com to have me click on something on my computer to run. I was way to smart for that, didn't do a damn thing. these guys tried to tell me they had control of my pc, I told them they were a scam. they got mad and told me they work for Obama and hung up on me.

Yesterday and today - received a  call from 855-210-3300.   They asked for me by name, so they have my phone listing correct.   Both times claimed my computer was infected.  Total scam.

I'm an IT guy. I LOVE these calls! I jack with them big time. Waste a bunch of their time. Ask questions, play dumb, act like I'm doing what they want me to do when I'm not. Last time I wasted about 10 or 15 minutes of the guys time. LOL! Now that I know what this is, I'll make sure I answer it next time!

Prank Call
This guy just called and said he was from Microsoft and my computer was sending out a bad virus.  He had strong Indian accent and was obviously reading from script.  When I told him I didn't own a PC and that my computer was in fact a Macintosh, he became upset and started yelling.  Scary thing is:  This guy had my home address, my phone number, and last name.

Prank Call
I too received a call from 855-201-3300, Same Indian scam artist MO. He said he was a Microsoft subcontractor trying to help me rid my computer of a virus. He wanted me to run some commands on my computer and then download a fix, I just listened and yes him around for a while. I knew Microsoft does not make phone calls like this. So I asked him to E-mail me, he couldn't because he does not have my E-mail address. This was a big Red Flag, because My Microsoft Account does have my E-mail address. He offered me to call him back on phone number 855-335-7469. I hung up on him and he call back from 855-201-3300 and said we were disconnected. Duh, Yah Think! At that point I got tired of playing games, and told him that I was sure he was a very bad scammer. He pleaded with me that his scam was lag-it and wanted desperately for me to take down my firewall and download some BS software.  I was insulted that this Indian scammer thought I was really that stupid and hung up on him.  Note: This scam could work on the naïve or the elderly.

Definitely a scammer of some sort. Has called numerous times and not left a message. Would be nice if the Do Not Reply List worked after informing them of these unwanted calls. Is the Do Not Reply website a scam too?

It is a call like this one (which has a very familiar MO) that made me decide never to answer my phone, again, if the phone number is unfamiliar or unidentified (thank God for caller ID).  Fortunately, I worked in the business as a techie, so I knew it was a scam.  What about the unsuspecting individuals, especially seniors, who fall for this stuff?  My call, from this number, was received 5/19/14 at 11:59AM, EDT with a CID of Unavailable.  Thus far, it's the only time from this number.  However, I've received no less than 10 calls from other numbers with the same "let me help you get rid of the virus on your computer" scam.

Got the same call as others, but he knew my first name!  Kinda threw me, then in a soft voice he began asking if my computer was slow.  I responded "No", and he says you have a virus.  I run Mac computers, so I knew he was fake.  But he must have some sort of snooping software for him to know my first name.  With all the government spying, who knows what is real these days.  I'm also on the "do not call list"  - which doesn't seem to work as proposed.

I leave the phone on and walk away and let the fool carry on. I WOULD NOT recommend you do this in case you get a pay call, in which case you could be charged hundreds of dollars.  No one has asked the question and it should be asked: How do businesses get an 800 number. If that's the case, we should all be calling the 800 service or a corporation that oversees the allocation of an 800 service number (free calls) and have it removed from their customer list.  There must be something at government level to block these harassing offshore companies.

SAME thing here...only I played along for a bit..acting as if I were elderly and confused.  He told me to type various commands and then spelled out an obscene phrase...I feigned shock and then he started to talk very filthy to me.  Why can't we do something about these horrid calls?

Same thing for me.  A man with a heavy Indian accent - claiming to be from a company that was unintelligible, telling me my computer had sent his company error messages.  He wanted me to access a web site.  I told him my computer was running just fine and that I had no intention of accessing "his" web site.  After 10 seconds of silence, he hung up.  SCAMMER - DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!!

Talk to these guys all the time.  When they tell me they are with the world wide web I just laugh and ask them if the Doctor knew
they were calling.  I say "I know you are calling from a mental institution because you call the same numbers all the time".  I ask how are you ever going to make any money calling people who keep rejecting you.  Only crazy people do that.  They usually hang up on me by now.
