Dont worry. They won't. I have had so many calls from scammers lately I checked my credit report. They aren't on their. You won't be charged with anything because it's a scam.

This lady called me from a company 'Progressive' regarding an unpaid payday loan. She stated that I was reported for fraud and writing 'hot checks'
I cannot find this company anywhere online and they will not send me anything in writing. She gave me 24 hours to come up with $350 on a prepaid debit card.
She stated she will come to my job and contact my hr department. I am not concerned for this as I have moved and changed my job, but I dont want to get charges for fraud.
What do I do...

It seems to be legite to me. I had been waiting to hear from the loan company. If you have ever had a loan from JD Marketing this is legite and they will work payments with you if necessary.

who the hell are these pep???  they came to my job looking for me  and told my boss everything!!! can they do that??

This number called me twice.

Ok, I got the same phone call yesterday and have had previous phone calls. If this is not a scam then how come I have not received any paperwork yet. I'm in the middle of bankruptsy and my lawyer told me that I don't have to talk to them. He will take care of them. So they can not touch me.

IF THEY ARE LIGITIMATE HOW COME THEY WON'T SEND A LETTER (PROOF) OF WHAT IS OWNED AND REFUSE TO PROVIDE THE DETAILS TO BE MAILED TO YOUR ADDRESS LIKE OTHER COLLECTION AGENCIES DO. INSTEAD PLAYING TRICKS SO SOMEONE SLIPS SOME INFO TO THEM.  AT LEAST IN COURT YOU SETTLE AND HAVE DOCUMENTS IN YOUR HANDS.

Yes they called me as well stated that they had two charges on me they informed me of what was going on after they called my JOB and Family!! I told them to go to Hell then two weeks later the Sheriff showed up at my work place saying that he had court papers for me, WOW! I thought it was a scam as well please dont play with them and they are a legitimate company..

I had a similar call and I ignored it..They actually found me at my job and spoke with my supervisor....I ignored it and about 3 weeks later I received documents to go to court...After going I was held liable and had to pay the funds back...

There is a company by the name of Progressive they are stating that I owe a debt and they are not collecting on it in fact they are suing me for a measly 200 dollars,. I asked can I pay what I owe because I want to keep my credit clean they sent an sherriff to my job and I was served and also terminated. Now I didnt believe them and this happens,. what am I going to do now with no job any suggestions,

I had a similar situation a lady name Marie Howard keeps calling my number any relatives that comes up for them even my previous landlord, for months same messages threating me to sue for unpaid debt etc.  I believe they are not a legitimate company and it's a scam.

A lady called me from this number stating that I owe them for a payday loan that I had with someone else. Progressive is the name of this company and its suppose to be an attorney's office. This company said that they brought me debt from the payday loan company and I have to pay them back. I believe that it's a scam! Let me know if this is a scam company.
