These people are relentless, I am still getting calls from them even after adding the number to the blocklist through optimum. Apparently because they put a "1" in front of the number on the caller ID it still sneaks through. I am live chatting with a support representative to see if anything can be done. My brother had an HSBC account but has never missed a payment or owed them money. Total scam, a bank will never ask for your full social security number.

Calls are all day starting at 8:00 AM in the morning EVERY single day including sunday. Absolutely unbelievable. I guess I'll have to invest in a digitone call blocker ~$95 just for some peace of mind.

Calls 4 times a day, will only speak with the person they request. Say its "personal business" with that person. We tell them to take us off a list. "Not on any list, this is personal business with..." We don't anser the phone anymore unless we are 100% of caller ID.

I just talked to them again..  I told the woman I was tired of the constant phone calls, to leave a message, or call back after 5 when the homeowner would be home, or send a letter.  She apoligized, identified herself, left a message and said the number would not be called again today.  She said a computer automatically dials out and they have no control over who is called.  Notes in the file do not help cause computers do not read these.  I told her I would file a complaint if I was continued to be harrassed.
If this is a credit card, run far and run fast.  She said the card payment wasn't behind, but they did need to speak with her about the account.

These people were calling here up to 10 times a day.  I babysit here and the homeowner is at work, so is her spouse.  They can't seem to get that idea through their heads.  NO ONE IS HOME DURING THE DAY.  CALL AFTER 5!  I finally got hateful, nice does not work, and told them I would turn them in to the fcc for harassment.  They have cut the phone calls down to 3-4 a day.  they refuse to leave a message or tell you who they are.  They go in cycles.  They will call for awhile, then when they get no response they will stop, annoy someone else, then after a couple months will start calling again.

Every day from February 15, 2013 till now, I have been receiving 3 to 5 calls from this number. I'm getting very pissed off now is there a way for my cellular carrier to blacklist this number because my phone doesn't have that feature.

As you can see from the messages I reported this back on November 14, 2012 - I also had the number blocked and the calls stopped for a while - today received five phone calls - no messages.

I get a phone call from this number at least 4-6 times per day. They never leave messages. I will never pick up and neither should you. They give cell phones caller ID for a reason and I purposely screen phone calls for this reason. Nothing but BS.

Everyone can cause this number a lot of grief by publishing it in everything you can think of as a contact number. If it really is a HSBC number than HSBC should be doing something about it. They certainly can cancel the number, they can talk to their telephone carrier and demand that they get involved. Believe me they spend millions on telphone services and the phone companyt will kiss their butt to solve the problem. I personnally will threaten this "Deb" with every possible, imaginable thing I can think of if I ever get to talk to her or anyone else. They call me cell at least 4 times a day but up to now I never answer. Actually I never answer any number that doesn't give me caller ID. You all should do the same.
Carry these numbers with you and post them everywhere you go, restrooms, stores, advertising, answer ads with bogus names and this number for them to call. Turn the tables on who or whatever is behind this. Don't just complain do something.

I am getting more than sick and frustrated with this caller. Whoever is currently behind this scheme had been annoying the f*** out of me for the entire week calling me at least 5 times a day either hanging up on me or attempting to masquerade as HSBC employees seeking an imaginary debt. I am going to file an FCC File Complaint right now and hopefully the persistent harassment may be put to an end.

I got a call from the number today. No one left a message or answered. Glad that I found this site and good people are getting involved and telling their story. If only there was a way to report this attempt to fraud people, then I'm sure they would think twice. Or do time in prison, whichever comes first.

She just called me, claiming she was HSBC.

She knew my name, adress, phone number, bank account number.

She told me I had a payement of 1700$ due today and asked me if I wanted her to do it for me over the phone. At first I said yes, then she asked me a formal confirmation, then I said I didn't really understand and I'll do it on the website. Going on HSBC website, everything looks fine and I have nothing due.

I called back the number: a machine claiming to be HSBC asks me to type my bank account number. I hung up.

It really look like scam. The scarier is that they know all my info...

Nothing will completely stop them,  I'm sorry to say,  but a call blocker does help some.  I use a Digitone Call blocker and have cut my calls way,  way down.   There are still those who change their numbers and get through.   I am debt free and owe nothing to anyone except the Utility bills once a month,  and all of my calls come from  "Credit cards services"  ( I have no cards),   Jamaican scammers,   dominican Rep.  saying I've won money and a bmw,  and the security alarm scammers.  But my call blocker has really cut down on the ones we get to maybe once or twice a week...usually the security alarms people changing their numbers each time.

See if you can go on line with your phone company and see if they have a way to block calls - if not call them - I contacted Optimum as they did break through the block and Optimum did something further and I haven't had a call in a week - one pest rid of

Was freaked out seeing these posts.  But then answered the next time they called and was told they were HSBC I'd missed my last payment.  I told them I'd look into it online and hung up.  Went online and saw I had in fact forgotten  to pay last month, and the balance owed was same as what I was told on the phone.  So it all seemed legit to me!

I have gotten this caller before but today was the first time I picked up. They seem to know my name but I wouldn't identify myself. I had to ask three times what the call was in reference to before they finally said it was a personal business matter. I'm glad I found this site, it confirms my suspicions. The guy sounded cagey.

Do not answer this call from this number.  I have been called by them many times a day for over a week.  They never left a message so one day I answered it.  A woman answered and wanted to know my name.  I told her that I would not answer anything unless she told me her name and what company she was from.  She was very nasty and kept asking me my name and social security number.  After many minutes, she finally said her name was Deb and she was from HSBC.  She then hung up on me.  I called back the number and it was HSBC.  They put me on hold and looked into my credit card and checking account and said there was nothing wrong with my accounts and that I owed nothing.  They put me with a manager and she tryed to look into why I was getting called from them.  There records showed that THEIR computer was NOT calling me.  They said that is is a scam and do not tell them anything.  Scammers have been breaking into this number and pretending they are HSBC. They said that if the bank does call you, they never ask for your ss number and will identify themselves as HSBC right away,

I keep gettiig a call from this number many times a day.  I finally answered the call and a woman was very nasty.  She wanted my name and I told her I wanted to know her name first and where she was calling me from.  She kept making excuses and I said I would not tell her anything until she answered my questions. Finally after a long time she said she was from HSBC.  She hung up on me.  I called the number back and did get HSBC .  I told them I was getting called from them many times a day.  She told me that there was nothing on my credit that was wrong.  There was no reason for them to call me.  She said that it is a scam.  She said next time they call, tell them it is a scam and that I spoke to the bank.  I told them yesterday when they called again but they still called this morning again.
